Just because I'm not aware that a relative of mine died in a war in service to their country (that I'm aware of, probably somewhere down the line I DO, I have a big family) today isn't just a holiday, or a sales day, or a barbecue day. It's a day to remember and honor those who've died to protect people, and protect/preserve America.
I'm not saying every war/invasion we've gone into was right or just or handled well, but some were, and no matter WHY they're there, we should respect the troops.
Now, let's get them out of Iraq, this is getting RIDICULOUS.
