Hello author! Thank you for signing up for this exchange!

Please don't worry about following any particular prompt I have here. I know how anxiety-inducing it can be to get an assignment and have no prompts or idea of what the person likes at all, so I wanted to provide some. If you get a completely different idea, go right ahead, I look forward to whatever you write for this.

My DNWs for this exchange are:
suicide/self harm, major character death, major character illness, adultery/cheating, brutal unhappy endings with no hope in sight, oviposition, crackfic, rimming, mindbreak, corrective rape (sexuality or gender), character or ship bashing, spelling it "cum," characters under the age of 16 engaging in sex, fingernail/toenail trauma/injuries, kidfic/de-aging, trypophobia content, teeth damage/trauma, explicit urine/feces/vomit, detailed insects/bugs, first or second person POV, cancer, institutionalization, needles used for torture, eye torture/trauma, breast mutilation (biting or scratching is ok but not more extreme than that), gaslighting, fridging female characters (removing them from the narrative to focus on a male character’s trauma), suicide or assisted suicide as the end of a character/used or framed as a “mercy,” pregnancy, miscarriage, pets being endangered or harmed or killed, unrequested crossovers/fusions with other fandoms, medical torture/abuse, explicit child abuse (references to it as backstory are ok), petplay, sexual ageplay.

Smutty stuff I like: Oh No There Is Only One Bed, sexual BDSM, tentacles, xenokink/monsterfucking, hypnotism, aftercare, bratty bottoms getting taught manners, service kink, orgasm denial (that eventually ends, not unending torture), multiple orgasms, two dominants double-teaming a sub, dubious consent acknowledged as such, bdsm session where a character calls their safeword and they have to stop the scene, threesomes, kink negotiation, polyamory, first time sex, consensual voyeurism, masturbation, bondage, wax play/other sensation play, spanking with hands, flogging/whipping, D/s roleplay, sex toys, choking/breathplay.

Darker stuff I like: whump, hurt/comfort, trauma recovery, retribution (disproportionate or not) for a transgression/trespass of some kind, revenge, characters trauma-bonding, characters getting drenched in blood, messy and unhealthy relationships, nonconsensual hypnotism, sex pollen, Something Made Them Do It (aliens, magic, curses, artifacts, etc), virginity fetishizing, ravishment fantasy, consensual nonconsent/rape roleplay where it's clear it's a negotiated roleplay, knifeplay, gunkink, partners killing someone together, lovers killing someone together, monster/human partnerships where the human has allied with the monster against humanity, victims turning the tables on their attackers/rapists/abusers, villains in love and doing horrible things to other people together, possessiveness/protectiveness with couples, extreme loyalty as with a knight/sovereign or sailor/captain, submission to punishment/rape/execution on behalf of another, unconsciousness, begging for mercy, men crying, strangulation, gangbangs where the victim is overwhelmed by sensation.

Horror
In general terms, I love horror a lot.
- I'm very into the history and legacy of the genre, especially film history and gothic literature.
- I enjoy monsters, be they outright scary or potentially romantic or both.
- I enjoy the thrill of seeing characters struggle for survival and triumph over challenges.
- I love mad scientists, especially when they pursue Things Man Was Not Meant to Know.
- I've found I'm a lot more interested in retribution/punishment type horror, that is to say, a character does something, takes an action of their own free will, and then suffers repercussions for it, even if the retribution is disproportionate; I prefer this to "the character was walking along and something Horrible dropped out of the sky onto them."
- I really love lore, legends, secret cults and extreme religions, especially when coupled with the wilderness or areas of nature where "civilization" hasn't broached yet.
- Overall I prefer characters to survive, albeit scarred physically and/or emotionally from the experience, rather than a completely tragic ending with no hope in sight.
- I'm not a fan of: torture-porn or body horror that's just for the gross-out factor or ogling a naked woman, "scary asylums" settings, people questioning their sanity/being driven insane, serial killers getting lionized as "evil geniuses" rather than shown as bumbling creeps who escaped detection due to police incompetence and/or racism, or evil kid horror.
- In no particular order, some of my favorite horror films include: Raw, Hush, You're Next, The Guest, The Shape of Water, Crimson Peak, Green Room, The Final Girls, The Invitation, The Witch, Stage Fright, Fright Night (both versions), Suspiria (the original), the Wicker Man (the original), Tucker & Dale vs Evil, Jennifer's Body, Ravenous, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Re-Animator, Cam, The Ritual, and Savageland.
- In no particular order, here are some horror TV shows I've enjoyed: The Terror, Hannibal, Kingdom (2019), Gravity Falls, Over the Garden Wall, Stranger Things, Locke & Key, Penny Dreadful, Siberia, and Harper's Island.
- Lately I've become a big fan of the podcast The Magnus Archives.

(You don’t need to include any of these things I like! I'm just listing some things I like so you get a better sense of me. Just avoid my DNWs and it's ok.)

Siberia
Theme: Any Theme, Theme: Canon Atypical Horror, Theme: Canon Typical Horror, Theme: Out of Genre, Theme: Winter Holidays, Theme: Winter Seasonal
Fandom-specific DNWs: Permanent character death of any requested characters. Rape/noncon between any requested characters.

Groups: Daniel/Irene, Daniel/Johnny/Joyce/Sam, Sabina/Sam
Individuals: Irene, Sabina, Sam, Daniel

This is such a lovely little gem of a show that I wish had gotten more attention when it aired. I love the concept, I love the twists, it really feels ahead of its time. I really love how the characters develop over time and grapple with the shift from reality show survival to actual life and death survival. I love the genre bending nature of the story, even if they didn't get to fully explore everything properly.

I'd love to read anything about them during the show before the base camp massacre was revealed, during their struggles to escape and survive the winter, whatever you think happened post-show, or an alternate take on how things went.

Jennifer's Body
Theme: Any
Fandom-specific DNWs: Permanent death of Needy.

Group: Jennifer Check/Needy Lesnicki
Individual: Anita "Needy" Lesnicki

Ahhhhh this movie! This movie. I'm so glad it's getting rediscovered by people now. I love the exploration of close, toxic, female friendships in high school and the process of working through them in the movie.

I'd be into fic taking place before the film, during, or after where Jennifer comes back somehow. I'm curious about Needy's demonic powers, her quest for vengeance, and what she might do after taking out Low Shoulder.

The Magnus Archives
Theme: Any
Fandom-specific DNWs: permanent deaths of Melanie, Georgie, Annabelle, Naomi, or Martin. Rape/noncon in Georgie ships. Jon saying he is allosexual or gay. Jon expressing feelings of sexual attraction to anyone (when unaffected by outside influences such as drugs, magic, sex pollen, etc.)
DNW clarification: Jon’s asexuality doesn’t need to be the focus of the fic, but I am not interested in fic where he’s involved in sex and his canonical sexuality isn’t taken into consideration. He could be sex-repulsed, sex-neutral, sex-favorable, in the context of this exchange I think his personal experiences, limits, and boundaries (whatever you write them as) are very relevant, especially if he’s suddenly exposed to sex pollen or a Leitner and has to grapple with how different he feels. He could find it academically interesting, personally horrifying, or have any number of reactions.

Optional Fusions/Crossovers: I'm very down for a Mundane AU where everyone like works at a normal office or library or college or whatever, or meet at a support group, or a kink club. I'd also adore seeing these characters if they'd been born in the Discworld world instead and live in Ankh-Morpork. Several of these could themselves well to a role reversal AU (Archivist Agnes, Web!Jon, Archivist Sasha, Melanie the Boss, etc.) don't be afraid to mix things up and get super creative here. Also to repeat myself, I love Vampire AUs and Pirate AUs (either fantastical or real world Golden Age of Piracy.) Superhero/villain AU could be really fun too, either campy or dark or anywhere inbetween.

Agnes Montague/Jonathan Sims. I'm super intrigued by these two characters. They have a lot in common and not much opportunity to talk about their own issues. I would love to see them meet somehow, perhaps the soulbond with Gertrude managed to save Agnes from death, or the world ending brings her back? Or an AU where Agnes is still lurking around and feels herself drawn to Jon now that he's the Archivist? Will she help burn down the Archives, or will she need convincing? Feel free to lean WAY into the dark religious implications of Agnes especially if you're comfortable with that. These are two characters who've both died in canon in a way, how do they feel about rough sex, about relative immortality? What does that soulbond feel like when they touch? If you're the type who likes music while you write I made a fanmix for them: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1EsystQZIbp7i74iEkEYp7

Daisy Tonner/Jonathan Sims. I'm very intrigued by this dynamic with both the antagonistic angle early on where Daisy was ready to stab him in the woods, and the close friendship after he pulled her out of the Coffin. I really like the idea of them both struggling with hungers, urges to hunt people down, and desires for and trauma around physical contact. What if they end up oddly dating post-Coffin, what would that look like for them? I really love the idea of them just, needing to be close, cuddling, sleeping together, intimacy, whatever that looks like for them. I'm deeply interested in them having a close, weird, intimate relationship neither of them can really classify but they know it feels better to be together, feels safer.
I would really love to see them explore nonsexual bdsm together as a coping mechanism after the Coffin, I would probably cry with joy if you wrote that.
I'd prefer something consensual with these two instead of nonconsensual, but if weird Hunt shenanigans happen by all means lean into that in your writing.
An AU where they meet at some kind of support group could be really interesting.

Julia Montauk & Trevor Herbert. I just really really love the Hunt and its avatars. I love how dedicated they are to their work and their pursuit of monsters, ignoring the ways that they're turning into monsters along the way. I love their travels and their strange, deeply intimate connection. I love their ruthlessness, how they laugh when they discuss chasing Jon. I just ... really enjoy them and I'd love to read anything exploring them.

Jonathan Sims/Martin Blackwood/Sasha James/Tim Stoker. OG archive team! What if they hooked up? What if they started a committed relationship? How did this happen? What issues do they run into which scheduling, feelings, and managing work/life/eldritch monsters? Frankly you could do a mundane AU where they just work in a shitty office, or a public library, and I'd love that too.
I'm down for canon or canon divergence or AU. Archivist Sasha AU is great, there's also been some fun art on tumblr recently of Jon and Sasha becoming the Archivist at once somehow. Equally great is Sasha domming the hell out of her boss. If you go smutty, I would love to see an exploration of what each of them is into and why, and if there's any overlap amongst the scenes or if they're all rigidly separate.

Georgie Barker/Jonathan Sims/Melanie King, Georgie Barker/Jonathan Sims.
Sometimes I would like nice things to happen to Jon! Wild I know. I want to know so much more about Jon and Georgie's relationship, be that during uni, during his time hiding with her, or some kind of timeline divergence. If you add Melanie in ... really I just wanna know what that would be like. AU where they're all living together and awkwardly navigating a new relationship. Timeline split where Jon stays with Georgie and Melanie moves in and they start to gravitate towards each other. I'm up for full on OT3 or a triad with Georgie in the middle, or whatever your heart desires as you start to write.
Of all the relationships I feel like this set could be the best for exploring asexuality and kink and I would love it so much if you wrote anything about that.

Jonathan Sims/Martin Blackwood/Oliver Banks. Oliver was totally flirting with that statement, wasn't he? He totally was. Anyways, tentacles are fun, spooky nerds being spooky are fun, an AU or What If where they met pre-show would be interesting. Maybe Oliver persuades Jon to accept more of his monstrous Avatar powers. What if they end up oddly dating post-coma, what would that look like for them? The way Oliver talks about how he sees the world now in his statements is haunting to me. His choices, warning people in statements, waking up Jon, intrigue me a lot. I'd like to see more of him, beyond the Sexy Tentacles Man, though the Sexy Tentacles are great of course. Seeing how Martin fits into things, either as a full on OT3 or a triad with Jon in the middle, or heck Martin in the middle, is interesting to me. I feel like Martin could really bond with Oliver over poetry, and losing people, and having a very weird relationship with death. The End does rather keep Oliver isolated, and Martin's been through that with the Lonely. Maybe tentacles and fog could combine into some wild, weirdly sexy fun times? Also down for a mundane AU where they end up dating and navigate a three way dynamic together.

Annabelle Cane/Jonathan Sims/Martin Blackwood/Mikaele Salesa.
I'm down for Annabelle web-controlling them into this, or them striking up a deal in exchange for safety/saving the world together, or an outright fully consensual set up. There's so much potential here for shenanigans with Annabelle and spiders especially, Martin loves spiders and Jon fears them intensely. Also I adore Mikaele so very much, any addition of him would be welcome. This could go super dark or be a very complex dynamic with negotiations, either way I'm intrigued to see someone's take on them.

Individuals: Agnes Montague, Annabelle Cane, Melanie King, Mikaele Salesa, Naomi Herne
Overall I'd love to read character studies of these characters, I picked some of my favorites here that I'd like to know more about. Be that a day in the life, a What If their story had changed in some way, their perspective on a specific episode, etc.

Agnes Montague
Breaks my heart we never got to hear her speak for herself. Please, give her a voice. She had such a strange and singular upbringing. Her connection to Gertrude was deeply intimate and troubling to both of them. She had devotees and worshippers, but did anyone ever truly know her?

Annabelle Cane
She's such an interesting character and she hasn't given us much! What are her goals, what's it like to be her, what did she think of the shenanigans at the house? Totally down for anything, pre-S5, during S5, a What If AU where she became a different kind of Avatar, her working at the Magnus Institute like other Web avatars before her, or your ideas of what exactly is going on at Hilltop Road.

Melanie King
She's probably my favorite character. I really wish the show had explored her rage more, and how they handled her powers bugs at me. I want to know more about her, her youtube career, her defense of the Institute when Jon was in a coma, her starting to date Georgie, and her life when she moves in and is adjusting to that and also recently being blind. Tbh I'm also keen on an AU/What If where she did stab Elias before he got arrested, she deserves to get in at least one good stab on that guy.

Mikaele Salesa
What a wild man. I love this guy! What was it like on the ship, what sorts of jobs did he take? Was he ever tempted by a particular artifact himself? How are things going at the safe house? I'm delighted that he took it upon himself to become the "sinister purveyor of cursed artifacts" role in stories as a way of surviving.

Naomi Herne
I'm just a big fan of this character and her potential. She got close to something very frightening and managed to escape. Big "woman in a white dress trapped in an isolated house in the moors" vibes here. Did the Lukas family ever pursue her? What if they faked Evan's death and lured her back with a promise of a reunion?
My big dream for this is Peter taking Naomi away to some Lonely mansion and doing awful things to her, and her finally gaining the upper hand and dispatching him. Whether that frees her from the Lonely's influence, or just cements her place as part of the Lukas clan is up to you.

What We Do In the Shadows (TV)
Theme: Any
Fandom-specific DNWs: permanent character deaths for any of the requested characters, rape/noncon between any of the requested characters.

Individual: Guillermo de la Cruz
Groups: Guillermo de la Cruz/Lazlo/Nadja/Nandor, Guillermo de la Cruz/Nandor, Lazlo/Nadja/Nandor

Got into this show during quarantine and I'm hooked. I adore these characters and the fact that every episode is like a game of Vampire the Masquerade gone horribly wrong/right. I especially love Guillermo, so very much.
I'd love a character study on Guillermo, his time as a familiar, his gradual discovery of his family history. I'm also intrigued by the ships I nominated here, how they'd get together, what sorts of things they'd get up to together. Would these be one time things or a long term arrangement? Totally down for them dealing with an attack on the house, a roving monster, an old enemy, being snowed in during a storm, or any number of scenarios. Also interested in an AU where Guillermo was never Nandor's familiar and was always a vampire hunter, and how that would have changed their dynamics.

Fright Night (2011)
Theme: Any
Fandom-specific DNWs: permanent character deaths of Amy or Charley

Amy Peterson/Charley Brewster/Jerry Dandrige
Amy Peterson/Charley Brewster/Jerry Dandrige/Peter Vincent
Amy Peterson/Charley Brewster/Peter Vincent

Love the original, but the remake is fun too and has some really compelling performances. Jerry especially conveys this degree of menace that I appreciated a lot.
Gonna be upfront here, I'd love to read some smut. If that's not your thing, I'd also love to read explorations of how the dynamics outlined here would evolve over time, especially accounting for the age gaps and different life experiences.

Original Work
Theme: Any
Fandom-specific DNWs: permanent deaths of the female thrall, final girl, witch, changeling, vet and werewolf, monstrous creation, rogue AI, or maiden. Rape/noncon of the witch, vet or werewolf, or monstrous creation.

I feel these speak for themselves pretty well, but if not, here's a few thought starters:

Female thrall of vampire. How long has she served? Did she willingly give herself to the vampire? Does she dream of escape or becoming a vampire herself?

Final Girl, Final girl and her new friends that were not in "first movie." Final girls are fascinating to delve into, traumatized survivors who struggle to adjust to life after what they went through. Feel free to make this an intense exploration, or a a more lighthearted recovery story, or anything in between.

Condemned Witch/Executioner’s Apprentice, Condemned Witch & Executioner & Executioner’s Apprentice.
These are some intriguing dynamics I think. Will the witch be freed? Will tragedy strike? Is the apprentice a true believer or doubtful of their duty?

Early 19th Century Medical Student & The Bodysnatchers He Pays For Fresh Corpses.
Potential to go very dark or very comedic here, how did these groups meet, how do they negotiate rates, are they content with this arrangement or troubled morally?

Eldritch Cult/Hapless 19th Century Archaeologist Bound For Human Sacrifice.
I'm into a ravishment pre-ceremony and bound to the altar, or seduction gone awry. Also down for a character study of the cult and how they picked the hapless archeologist for their sacrifice if smut isn't your thing.

Forgotten God & Unwary Hiker Who Stumbled Upon the Ruins of Their Temple.
Somewhat related to the above, I'm down for ravishment, possession, new worship resurrecting an old religion, or whatever comes to your mind.

Human Stolen by the Fairies & Their Changeling Replacement.
I adore changeling narratives. Big fan of Changeling the Lost especially. Would love to see the Changeling and Human bonding via shared trauma, but one taking vengeance on the other for circumstances out of their control would be great too. Feel free to play up the unsettling nature of them resembling each other.

Late Night Veterinarian/Werewolf.
I just really love werewolves. I'm up for a first time encounter or a long standing established relationship. No gender preferences.

Mad Scientist & Their Overworked Human Assistant/Their Vengeance-Seeking Monstrous Creation.
You might have noticed I love mad scientists. I especially love it when their creations break free and take vengeance. Here, could be some sexy vengeance, or just brutal revenge. The assistant being an accomplice, or making the best of a bad situation, is up to you. The Mad Scientist being into it or not is optional. No gender preference for the characters. Go as campy or serious as you like with this.

Rogue AI & Hacker Commissioned to Subdue Them. Oh this, this is beautiful. I love robot ethics. Let the Rogue AI turn the tables on this hacker, humiliate them, defeat them, possibly even seduce them? Has the hacker ever encountered something like this before? No gender preference for either of them, go where your heart takes you.

Vampire/Vampire Hunter/Maiden Kidnapped by the Vampire. Vampires are great! I like the idea of a Hunter getting in over their head, especially if the Maiden seduces them. The vampires could be evil and predatory or coming to a consensual agreement, I'm up for anything. The maiden could be scheming to get double teamed, the vampire could be in for a classic seduction, or the hunter could be at war with her own inner desires. Also very interested in asexual concepts of vampirism if you wanna do that.
