Well,  work wasn't all that bad! It was actually kind fun. I watched loads of training videos about the company and harassment and service and got trained and started working. I'm pretty tired but it was pretty nice. Working (and getting moneys!) is good. Eating within a time limit ... not so nice, but I can deal with that, considering the flexibility and the moneys.

Title: The Nostalgia Critic’s Adventures in Wonderland, Part 3

Word Count: 1,660

Rating: R, mostly for language, mostly for the Nerd.

Pairings, Characters: There’s pairings, all right, and allusions to pairings. Also, Loads and Loads of Characters: two Critics, three Bums, a cat, a Gurl, a Guy, a BFF, the Spoony One, and a really sexy French guy! There’s an angry nerd, a girl with nice shades, and a guy who strums a guitar; the man who hails from atop the fourth wall, The Other Guy, and Bhargav! (Plus teensy cameos from all of the brave Musketeers of the TGWTG fandom!)

Disclaimer: I don’t own a thing, though Alice in Wonderland is in the public domain, thank goodness! You can find most of the characters at thatguywiththeglasses.com, I’m sick of hyperlinking things every dang fic. (I actually have quotes of poetry from the book in here, those are italicized for your enjoyment.)

Summary: The Critic runs into the Nerd … and then things get really explicit!

Spoilers: If you don’t know the storyline of Alice in Wonderland, you may be a tad confuzzled by my plotline. Those of you who catch the references: hurray!

Warnings: Crossdressing. Heavily implied sex. Naughty words. I still contest that I cannot properly write the Nerd, so just bear with me. This is your premise on drugs!

A/N: Hurray it’s done *kerslump* (Where the hell did this sudden burst of creativity come from? I guess my Muse wakes up when I’m stressed!)

The movie mentioned at the end is the one with Whoopi Goldberg as the Cheshire Cat. Of all the adaptions, that’s the one I’ve seen the most and that has contributed to my love of the books more than anything in the world, and I highly recommend it. I plan on watching it again as soon as I remember how to hook up my VHS player.

Title: The Nostalgia Critic’s Adventures in Wonderland, Part 2

Word Count: 1,738

Rating: a tentative R. Loads more sexual stuff in here, though nothing explicit yet.

(This chapter has cameos of Angry Joe and Paw!)

Disclaimer: I don’t own a thing, though Alice in Wonderland is in the public domain, thank goodness! You can find most of the characters at thatguywiththeglasses.com, I’m sick of hyperlinking things every dang fic.

Summary: The Critic gets high with ATG … then things get even stranger!

Spoilers: If you don’t know the storyline of Alice in Wonderland, you may be a tad confuzzled by my plotline. Those of you who catch the references: hurray!

Warnings: Crossdressing. Heavily implied sex. Drug use. Naughty words. This is your premise on drugs!

A/N: Somehow, I’ll never imagine how, today I managed to write two chapters of this, work on some schoolwork, do stuff around the house, and watch some utterly bewildering Hetalia episodes. And the day’s not even over yet! (Sometimes I scare myself with how crazily well I can manage my time …) Chapter 3 will be up tomorrow, and if it isn’t I have no idea when I’ll have the time to finish! *crosses fingers and works on it tonight*

Now with 100% more pepper! )

Title: The Nostalgia Critic’s Adventures in Wonderland: Part 1

Word Count: 1,909

Rating: PG-13 (naughty words and implications)

Pairings, Characters: There’s pairings, all right, and allusions to pairings. Also, Loads and Loads of Characters: two Critics, three Bums, a cat, a Gurl, a Guy, a BFF, the Spoony One, and a really sexy French guy! There’s an angry nerd, a girl with nice shades, and a guy who strums a guitar; the man who hails from atop the fourth wall, The Other Guy, and Bhargav! Also … the Three Musketeers?!

Disclaimer: I don’t own a thing, though Alice in Wonderland is in the public domain, thank goodness! You can find most of the characters at thatguywiththeglasses.com, I’m sick of hyperlinking things every dang fic.

Summary: The Critic wakes up in a dress … and then things get really strange!

Spoilers: If you don’t know the storyline of Alice in Wonderland, you may be a tad confuzzled by my plotline. Those of you who catch the references: hurray!

Warnings: Crossdressing. Outfits that are demeaning to women. Naughty words. This is your premise on drugs.

A/N: Admittedly, not my cleverest of titles. So … yeah. The Critic’s acid-trippy dream sequence in Junior inspired me to write a TGWTG in Wonderland AU. When I’m this busy. And stressed. I am insane! (Just because I’ve written this one doesn’t mean all of you shouldn’t try your own versions with different people as different characters. So many vloggers, so many Wonderlandians! Have fun, kids!) Hopefully I’ll have Part 2 up this evening, or tomorrow.

They're coming to take me away, ha ha! )

I've been catching up on some tv watching during the holiday break, so here's some quick WAZT for you!

Cowboy Bebop
- I finished the series two nights ago. Wow. That was ... that was pretty amazing. I've been watching it for a while now, and with each episode (particularly the ones in S2) the fact that this will probably be my favorite show EVER (tied with Firefly and Phineas and Ferb, which, if you know me, is saying something) was cemented again and again. I can literally find NO FAULTS in the WHOLE SHOW. I wouldn't change a thing, not even the ending (which made me tear up, mostly because it was so fitting and perfect and I COULD NOT FIND FAULT WITH IT, DAMMIT! *cries*) Go watch it. Seriously. If you like anime, watch it. If you don't like anime, give this show a try.

A Very Potter Musical
- I watched that last night, at the bequest of my friend. And, true to her word, it was TOTALLY AWESOME! (And now I want to ship Voldemort/Quirrell, who would have thought I'd ever want to do that?!) If you haven't seen it, go watch it on youtube, it really has to be seen to be believed. Draco Malfoy was utterly fabulous! RUMBLEROAAAAAAAAAR! Lampshade hanging! *SQUEE*

Alice
- I watched that today, and it was ... really good. Overall I liked it better than Tin Man. The universe, the characters, the story, all stacked up together it got a higher score from me than Tin Man did. Not to say that Tin Man wasn't awesome (it was) but some of the cliches grated and Azkadellia's blatant clevage fanservice got real old real fast.
While I feel they could have fleshed things out a bit more the potential was there and you could tell that a lot of thought and effort went into Alice. So many cool visuals! HATTER! (OMG, Hatter. He was like a really young Claude Raines with a Nice Hat, what's not to love?!)
Tim Curry's one-scene-wonder was rather frightening and I LOVED what little we saw of the Resistance.
As contrived as it was I did like that Alice was fully capable of kicking ass and saving herself.
The White Knight was PERFECT; Matt Frewer had better win something for playing that part!
Kathy Bates was cool initially but lacked the pizazz I've seen from her in the past. I can't put my finger on it, but ... something was lacking.
The costuming was FANTASTIC, most notably the diamonds in the Casino (you know the ones I mean. The fanservicey ones.)
I loved the steampunk/cyberpunk feel of the whole world, and the dichotomy between bright and colorful (the Casino and the Tea Shop) and grimy Earth Tones (pretty much everything else.)
Compared to other things it might fall a bit short, drag a little, become a tad predictable (yeah, it kinda was) but I enjoyed every minute and I reccomend it to you, my flist.

(P.S. What's up with Sci-Fi becoming Sy-Fy? I think it looks really stupid, personally, but as I don't even have cable it's not really on my radar.)
