My apologies, but Pottermania is upon us!
Jul. 16th, 2007 10:23 pmI’ve re-reading all the books – I possess about three copies of each, the hardcover, the paperback, and the original British version with words like ‘jumper’ and ‘colour’ in it – and underlining my favorite passages and lines (in the paperbacks, my dear readers! I don’t defile ANY literature!)
Due to this, and more rehearsals, and concerned relatives, I’m not getting much slash-time in. My Remus/Sirius stuff is blooming, but Mylar and Plaude and all my fics are mostly on hold. I’m still reading, but in concentrated periods, usually late at night (for me, for people in Japan I’m sure it’s a decent hour) and I’m really, really, REALLY sorry, but all those series I’m writing? Parts 6 and 2 and 4 and such might not come for a while. Next week, after fighting off a bout of Potter-Depression and Potter-Withdrawal, I shall turn to Heroes for consolations, but until then, more posts of mine is looking pretty unlikely.
On a side note, I’ve now seen a grand total of FOUR episodes of Doctor Who! A few things are making more and more sense, at least the episodes with CE in them …
I also figured out WHICH episodes I’ve seen! Here they are, in the order watched, and you may understand my confusion:
The Unquiet Dead
Utopia
World War Three
Dalek
‘Dalek’ was my favorite by far. (CE was so scary!) I probably would have liked ‘Utopia’ better if I wasn’t so confused about Jack and that hand in a jar and that old guy who was a Time Lord or whatever … but CE is funny in the other episodes, and he brought back memories of Claude, and … sooner or later BBC will have a marathon and I’ll figure it all out.
(Blast it! The theme song is stuck in my head! *gets Hedwig’s Theme stuck for raving Potter-fan purposes*)

Date: 2007-07-17 04:07 am (UTC)No wonder you couldn't afford to buy BtVS. I only own the hardcover copy of each (ok that's not entirely true. I also own the paper back version of the first one somewhere, and for some reason a second hardcover copy of the fourth one which I think I got as a gift. Oooh, and I have the first one in German, which I can't read lol) Actually, I sort of wish I had the original British versions of them, because I love British spellings and words.

Yeah: HP + manga = broke me.
because I love British spellings and words.
Aren't they cute?! My friend (also a broke manga junkie) was pointing out how cool and funny British swear words are. They so totally pwn American swears ...

I shall ... eventually ... I'm kinda busy here, but BBC is airing them in order, and season 3 is in September, so hopefully ...
Ten confuzzled me. He's so upbeat and ... cute ... I much prefer CE's snarkiness and leather jacket, and not just because I miss Claude ...

Jack needs a proper introduction.
Wait ... he NEVER gets one? (Why did he have the hand, btw? Just curious ...)
And of course, the awesomeness that is Nine.
Hell yeah! I love him so ... he dies, doesn't he? Or gets reincarnated into Ten, the guy who's all happy and CUTE *shivers* right?

Date: 2007-07-18 04:54 am (UTC)He does get a proper introduction in the first series (I've always thought the hand is kind of creepy. It kinda falls from the Doctor)

Lets just say you'll cry a lot in the last two eps of the first series.
Aww, Ten, I totally enjoy his madness and cuteness but I just can't love him. Nine will always be my Doctor.

Ten kinda annoyed me a bit - yeah he was funny and cool, but I wanted CE's snark, dammit!
