I have come to a comforting conclusion about the death of Heath Ledger: it's horrible that he's dead, but because of his preformance as the Joker, he has become immortal.
Just ... something to think about, I guess. Watching him hanging upside down, laughing hysterically and Batman runs away from him and the SWAT team close in, was very ... poignant. *shivers*

Just saw The Dark Knight for the SECOND time! Yahoo! Just as good the second time around, if not more so, seeing as I knew this time that the truck flipping over (which I still say is BEAUTIFUL) was real not CGI ... and Batman/Bruce standing on the roof was likewise REAL and not a stuntman or a greenscreen, but actually him, an incredible distance up.
I still yelped and jumped and shivered and DAMN did I LAUGH. Knowing what was coming didn't lessen the disturbingly-awesome-'jokes' of the Joker at all. Just made it scarier when he STILL made me jump two feet in the air.

(BTW I want the Joker's clothes. Maybe I should take them and mail the clothes-less Joker to Bruce Wayne's penthouse? Imagine how Alfred would react to THAT lying on the doorstep ... "Someone sent you a candy-gram, Master Wayne ...")

Oh, and the slash? It is slashy. As hell. I think Bale and Ledger were taking lessons from Tennant and Simm. (Did you guys hear that DT would consider being the Riddler a childhood dream? Hot DAYUM, someone start a campaign!)

Also, when the Joker is beating up Batman (at the top of the building, after the dogs, before the upside-downer) he says "Of all the old familiar places." Which ... I have no words for that. Really, I don't. Somone write a gorram fic here!

Yeah, it was REALLY long, and my butt hurts now, but it was a fun ride all the same.

P.S. Eric Roberts is a skeevey skeeve. STILL. I don't know WHAT it is about him, but he makes me physically recoil whenever he comes onscreen. I don't think he's human.

P.P.S. Why did Richard become the Mayor of Gotham? Is that why crazy people who dress funny keep showing up in the city? What's next ... Polar Bear Man? (Locke and the Joker would get along so VERY, very well.)

P.P.P.S. I'd forgotten that the Scarecrow-man is cute, in a freaky, 'evil puppy' kind of way. He and the Joker should hook up and tag-team Bruce.

OMG IT IS SO SLASHY OMG! And the Joker was all sitting on top of the Batman and...and...GUH. (WHAT?! OMG! DT as the Riddler would be GUH factor.)

My butt was a bit sore too lol, but it was sooooooooooooo worth it. I would gladly do it again. Actually I'm probably going to see it one day from it's first starting time, to the last (or second to last, depending if I have a ride or I have to catch the bus) when it goes to the $1 theater and I can see it like 5-6 times instead of the regular price. XD

It's almost like he's talking to us from the grave and telling us it'll be ok ... btw, is it canon that the Joker gets captured and taken to Arkham? I mean, we see Batman running off and the SWAT team closing in ... but the Joker's been able to hold his own (sort of) against BATMAN, are a couple dazed guys with guns gonna be able to bring him in, even if he IS hanging upside down and beaten up a bit?

I. Want. Almost as much as I wants me some Poison Ivy/Harley Quinn action. That'd actually be a good device for the next movie, have it all about Harley trying to break her 'Mr. J' out of Arkham (us never seeing the Joker) and Batman coping with that and Poison Ivy (seeing as the trend with the new movies seems to be two villains per movie.

Well, I know he does in graphic-novel/comic canon, but I wasn't sure about movie canon ... do they say 'they've apprehended the Joker and he's in a cell as we speak, seducing Doctor Quinn'?

He would probalby be very amused by two tiny fangirls tackling him, ripping off his clothes, and mailing him to Bruce Wayne. Big, bold, capslock 'HA HA HA HA HA!' letters would follow us all the way to Gotham.
