*groans* The air is hot and heavy today, and it's still early, so I shudder to think about what the afternoon holds in store.
This morning (at an UNGODLY hour) the hot and heavy air affected the smoke detector in my room, and I was too groggy and confuzzled to do anything but scream when it woke me and then hold my hands over my ears weakly until one of my Lost-buddies waved a folding fan around the damn thing and it stopped.
I spent an hour trying to go back to sleep, then it happened again.
I gave up, finished the book I'd recently unearthed that was my FAVORITE as a little kid, and reluctantly got up.
There is no orange juice in the house.
WHY ME, GOD, WHY ME?!
*sigh* Ah well, there is a highlight, I suppose, because hopefully I'll be getting a new Death Note today. And this morning I realized that, even if you've been looking at a painting for a year + it's possible to notice the thin pink wavy line in the bottom left corner you didn't notice before. *beams*
Ugh, sunlight ...

(Hey, I learned something new yesterday! Paolo Nutini sings 'New Shoes.' I had no idea! *starting to perk up*)

Wow. I didn't know it could be humid enough to set off the fire alarm. That's just crazy. And uncalled for.

I remember when the fire alarm went off at my house. Oh, Lord. We all just screamed and ran around like headless chickens. Then my mom beat the shit out of it with a broom.

It wasn't until much later we discovered the actual fire. We were mostly just worried about the noise factor.

Well, I think our smoke-detector is like getting nosebleeds: happens when drastic changes in the whether occur. *shrugs* Happened last year, too ... *glares at the things*

Bahahaha! That sounds awful!

Wow, you really had a fire? That's scary ... *shivers*
Smoke alarms are one of the worst noises there is. *shudders*

I think your smoke alarm is definitely possessed. Ours never freak out because of weather changes.

Our house fire really wasn't that bad. It was just a small fire in the bathroom, but it did warrant a call to the fire department and all that jazz. It destroyed the bathroom, and we needed new carpet upstairs, but other than that, it wasn't too bad.

Heh heh ... well, possessions generally don't end when the person down the hall, races around one morning, swears at it, cries, then fetches a chair and yanks the thing down, tosses it across the room, then takes out the batteries.
I mean, we still have a few upstairs, so I'm not too worried.

Yeah, my step-father's house burned TO THE GROUND, and one of my friends in grade-school came back from the weekend to tell us that half her house burned down after a lightning storm ... I'm terrified of fires, so I always sleep with my USB on my bedside table.
