This morning I dreamed in Japanese. I can't remember anything about the dream, besides that. I can't remember the words, either.
Before that, or maybe after (?) I dreamed about the Rani. I didn't know what the Rani was, I used to think it was some kind of cult, then last night I realized it's a TITLE, like 'the Doctor' and 'the Master' and I just thought it was plural because I don't know what 'Rani' means. Can it be used as a verb? *blinkblink* I think she had red hair in my dream … could someone explain her to me?
New Heroes Graphic Novel:
Some blond girl (Piper) got abducted by the Company and with Sanjog's help she remembers, despite being Haitian'd. She had a twin sister she was separated from at birth, called 'Debbie' who helps her escape through a TINY WINDOW NO HUMAN COULD GET THROUGH *cough* power *cough* but Debbie gets captured. Then Piper's mommy calls HRG and the Haitian when she starts having 'delusions of a sister.' I get worried. I'm glad Sanjog is alive, though …
OMG DOCTOR WHO S4 SPOILER MAJOR DO NOT READ PLEASE GOD I JUST NEEDED TO WRITE IT OUT!
Bear in mind that, after I read this around ten-twenty this morning, I went into a state of intense shock (maybe even horror) where I COULD NOT SPEAK, only make dry 'huuuuaaahhh!' noises and weak hack/cough noises whilst opening and closing my mouth repeatedly with snapping noises, then I went around with my mouth hanging open for like fifteen minutes. My friends were very concerned and asked if someone had died. It was very strange. I'm still in shock.
*coughs*
*clears throat*
Ahem …
*looses nerve*
*regains it*
Yeah, uh, guys? The Doctor has a daughter.
And she looks like THIS: http://community.livejournal.com/ihasatardis/1073718.html
I can't believe THAT is Susan's mommy, nor that the Doctor copulated with a certain chavvy Companion because … because …
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I WILL NOT ALLOW IT! DOCTOR/ROSE IS A PURELY FRIENDSHIP RELATIONSHIP!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! DO NOT SUCCUMB TO THE SHIPPERS, RUSSELL T. DAVIES!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Around noon I revisited the site, blinked a lot, said "No!" a lot and confuzzled my friends. Then the one friend I have who WATCHES DW came along and I clapped both my hands over my mouth and remained in intense denial/pleaseGODno for the rest of the afternoon.
Suffice to say I am VERY worried indeed.

I think when that episode come along, if Rose is in the show, she'll be a little jealous. And I still think Rose/Doctor is one of the sweetest love stories ever written. He pretty much said he loved her twice already.

Date: 2008-04-03 03:53 pm (UTC)Yeah, the first Companion was Susan Foreman, his granddaughter.
But really, are we thinking that he's 900 years old and he's never had children?
Well, we all knew he had at least ONE kid. It's just the surprise and shock that's affecting me.
And I still think Rose/Doctor is one of the sweetest love stories ever written. He pretty much said he loved her twice already.
Yeah, but personally (I'm werid) I think the Doctor/Rose relationship works best as a non-romantic one. *ducks flying shoes*

Date: 2008-04-03 06:23 pm (UTC)It's a perfectly normal habit! (Besides, Doctor/Master? Totally my new OTP.)
*throws flying shoes*
ARGH! Try as I might, I still tick off the shippers! *headdesk* As if my head wasn't pounding ENOUGH! *listens to clips from The Sound of Drums and is soothed by sexy British voices*

Date: 2008-04-03 04:37 pm (UTC)I'm hoping she turns out to actually be an evil clone, so he's running around going, "Holy heck I has a daughter?!" and then she tries to kill him or something. Because it would uncomplicate things if she were a bad guy.
The Rani is a renegade Time Lord who specializes in biochemistry. She's a genius, on the level of the Doctor and the Master, but she's not all that gung-ho about traveling or taking things over. She's...I'd call her amoral rather than actively evil. She just does her own thing and ignores anybody who gets in her way. But she went to school with the Doctor and the Master and is highly annoyed by their antics (a quote regarding the Master: "He'd get dizzy if he walked in a straight line!").
Rani, I'm told, means something like 'princess' or 'queen' in Sanskrit. And indeed, the Rani rules a planet of her own.
"Mark of the Rani" is her first appearance. It's during the Sixth Doctor's tenure (Coat of DOOOOOOOOOOM!) and is highly worth watching for her opinions regarding their obsessions.

Date: 2008-04-03 08:28 pm (UTC)Yeah, but still, the Doctor definitely had at least ONE kid, so she could be the real deal. Ya never know ... I hope she isn't, though, because she looks way too much like Rose. And ... no. Just, NO.
it would uncomplicate things if she were a bad guy.
So true!
The Rani is a renegade Time Lord
I'm beginning to think that's the only kind! The Doctor, the Master, now this chick ... are the renegades the only ones with funny titles?
She's a genius, on the level of the Doctor and the Master, but she's not all that gung-ho about traveling or taking things over.
Sounds refreshing ...
She's...I'd call her amoral rather than actively evil. She just does her own thing and ignores anybody who gets in her way.
Sweet ... I think I could like this character ...
But she went to school with the Doctor and the Master and is highly annoyed by their antics (a quote regarding the Master: "He'd get dizzy if he walked in a straight line!").
Hee! *giggles* So, this person is all-around awesome, eh?
Rani, I'm told, means something like 'princess' or 'queen' in Sanskrit. And indeed, the Rani rules a planet of her own.
Ooooo ... intriguing!
It's during the Sixth Doctor's tenure (Coat of DOOOOOOOOOOM!)
MY EYES! (I'll watch that next ...) Thanks for all the info!
