What aunt_zelda Thinks: Lost Season 4 Premire

I have spent the whole day CLEANING. I was not able to get online until six this evening. Also, I WAS NOMINATED FOR THE HEROES SLASH AWARDS! *dances for joy* I’m so FLATTERED and HONORED and … onto the Lost rant!

 

(Yes, I WATCH Lost! I got it via Netflix over the summer in a deal to get a friend to watch Heroes. Now I’m hooked and I HATE it because it’s a ridiculous show that sucks you in and steals your soul. But still I was cheered to discover that I get ABC with my stupid antennae-TV.)

 

I liked the 1-hour recap, but wish they’d said ‘one hour recap, the actual episode airs at nine’ because I rushed home from my ballroom class for naught. Though Ben creepily/wonderfully narrating was FANTASTIC … then everyone fought about the stupid antennae and I went into the bathroom and SCREAMED and then most of us went upstairs to watch it on the tiny upstairs TV (which got WONDERFUL reception) with the cat.

 

Some thoughts during the recap extravaganza, hosted by Ben’s Voice of Scariness:

Ya know about Sayid’s mysterious love-interest this season? I bet it’s Nadia …

ARGH I hate love-squares! Sawyer-Kate-Jack-Juliet drives me MAD. Then again, if you include slash and femmeslash it’d be a love OCTAGON … *headdesk*

What is UP with the indestructible-one-eyed-Russian? Is he TOO related to Adam Monroe?

*cries* Charlie: it took him dying to make me stop wanting him dead.

Locke really is too badass for words …

Yeek! Flash-Forward! I HATE that! …

 

The actual episode:

 

… a pile of fruit. Whoa! It got smashed! Camaro! Car-chase! Flash-forward! Wait a sec … camaro … I bet it’s Hurley! *is correct* Oh yeah, who’s good?!

‘Oceanic Six’ … ‘six’ is not one of THE Numbers! Also, ‘Oceanic Six’ includes Jack, Kate, and Hurley at this point …

Poor Ana-Lucia … oh god, Hurley’s craaaaaaaaaazy again!

 

Kate reminds me of Gwen Cooper. In all the bad ways.

“Yeah, we’re really going home.” No you’re not! The show goes on until 2010!

Hee, Rose said something raunchy! (Claire doesn’t look old enough to have sex to me, much less a child. Really …)

 

Awwww, I loved the cannonball-talk … it was very good.

Oh I am SO slashing Hurley and Charlie in my head now …

 

You know that Saturn commercial? All I do during it is drool about how ORANGE it is …

 

I love how Hurley tossed the walkie into the ocean (BUT POLUTION IS BAD!) and took control.

 

That ‘attorney’ scares me. His eyes …

“Are they still alive?” Utto … that doesn’t bode well …

 

Oh no … whilst brooding slashily Hurley findeth Jacob’s hovel en la woods!

 

Hee, Ben/Rouseau/Jack is my new OT3 … *jk* … or am I? …

 

Poor possibly-evil-Naomi … though she’ll probably pull an Ethan and come back in flashbacks … does anyone know her last name, btw? ‘Ethan Rom’ gave us ‘Other man’ after all …

Oh dear, Naomi has a SISTER ...

I bet Naomi’s sister is secretly Charlie’s fairy godmother thrice removed, who slept with Des, Jack, and Sawyer all at once in Mr. Eko’s home village, then gave birth to Jin AND Locke in Claire’s piercing shop before hiding Kate, Bernard, Niki, Paolo, Juliet, and Rousseau in rooms 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 after meeting Walt, Hurley, and Boone at Ethan’s wedding, then loosing all her money to the ACTUAL Sawyer, thus forcing her sister Naomi to join this shady helicopter-organization to support her now broke sister. Oh yeah, and the sister’s bestest friends in the whole wide world are Penny and Nadia.

Or, at least, that’s probably a likelier backstory than whatever they’ll provide us with.

 

Bahahahahhaha! Poor Hugo … he can’t escape Jacob’s cabin! Hee, I’d pay good money to watch Locke, Hurley, and Jacob for an episode or two. Almost as much as I’d pay to watch Rousseau, Alex, and Ben hideout at The Black Rock for half a season!

“Rambo.” Hee …

 

Eh? In the future, Charlie lives? Undead? Immortal? Twin? Angel? Ghost? *remembers prolonged speculation drives you mad and stops*

 

OMG!!! Jack was REALLY gonna shoot Locke!!! What little confidence I had in the man has evaporated!

“All you have ever done is blow up every chance we had of getting off this island.” Hee … that’s why he’s badass, Jack, and you’re not!

“Well, technically he didn’t kill her yet.” I love Ben. I don’t care that he’s evil and hangs out with bunnies too much.

 

Wow. I, too, choose ex-junkie bad-rockstar annoying hobbit cutie!

 

“Jack, with your permission I’d like to go with John.” “He’s all yours.”

*sporfles* Oooooo! Slash LIVES! (That is, until Locke shoots Ben like in those scary promos, though judging by what happened to Locke’s FATAL-BULLET-WOUND, I’m not that worried.)

Leaving Jack, Kate, and Rose n’ Bernard with a good supply of Red Shirts, the rest of the cast leaves with Locke in honor of Charlie Pace.

 

“You’d look weird with a beard, dude.” SO true! He’d also look GROSS and Nathan-S2-esque … *shivers and flees*

 

I don’t get the whole flash-forward thing. I hate it. Is it a future-set-in-stone, or a FYG-future, or just something to buy time and screw with the fans?

Btw, unlike in Heroes, when the future means everyone getting hotter, Lost’s future seems to mean that the guys get hairy, the women get shiny, and things become more vague than usual (which is saying something for this show.)

Next Week: I trust the Lost promos less than the Heroes S2 ones!
