I know how anxiety-inducing it can be to get an assignment and have no prompts or idea of what the person likes at all, so I wanted to provide some. If you get a completely different idea, go right ahead, I look forward to whatever you write for this.

Critical Role Campaign One
Individuals:
Doctor Anna Ripley. Literally anything you write I'll read. She's my favorite of the villains. I love her drive and intensity, I love lady mad scientists who are so dedicated to their work against everything else, I love her manipulation of people and how there's nothing she won't do, even if it costs her a hand, or her soul to a demon, to achieve her goals. She's a fantastic villain, dig in, because the show didn't give us nearly enough content with her in my opinion.
J’mon Sa Ord. I just wanna know more about them. What's their life been like? What did they really think of Vox Machina? How did they get a giant robot? What are their studious concubines up to?
Cassandra de Rolo. Oh poor Cassandra. I'd love to see a character exploration for her any time in her life. During the Briarwoods attack, the years she spent with the resistance, the years she spent as the Briarwoods' captive/ally, her recovery and dealing with Percy's return, trying to manage the city and her own trauma, Percy getting married and setting up a new family. Does she ever get to leave Whitestone of her own will, take a vacation? Is she always plagued by memories and ghosts as she walks the halls?
Ships:
Keyleth/Shaun Gilmore/Vax'ildan. Vax please, you have so much love in your heart, you can love two people at once I promise. Keyleth and Gilmore figure it out and make it work and Vax is the happiest bird ever and they live happily ever after, canon CR1 ending be damned. Or a Modern AU where these three make it work. Brunch dates. Testing out some of Gilmore's new toys from the back of the shop. Dressing each other up and going clubbing together. Going to a bar and pretending they don't know each other and getting flirty.
Anna Ripley/Percy. So ... these two. These two. Um. Literally anything. Banter and taunts. Expanded conversations on Glintshore. Uneasy alliances. What exactly happened during the time she tortured him. What might have happened had they kept her captured and locked her up after the Briarwoods arc. Extremely unhealthy sex. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea but I really love this pairing.
Grog Strongjaw/Keyleth. Keyleth and Grog had some great moments in the first campaign and I wish we'd seen more. I think they could be good for each other, especially when Keyleth was working on her rage. Also if you feel up to it, sex with them could be so intense. Keyleth tackling him while in Minxie form and shifting back to herself and Grog is delighted ... has a lot of appeal.
J’mon Sa Ord/Keyleth. This is my long term dream for Keyleth's love life, her to pair up with someone who understands the pains of a long lifespan. Maybe Keyleth takes a vacation. Maybe J'mon pays her a visit. I feel like J'mon was awkwardly flirting with Keyleth during their later encounters in the campaign, maybe touch on that more? They could fly together. They could battle dangerous foes together. They could reminisce about lost loves and new joys.
J’mon Sa Ord/Shaun Gilmore. What were they talking about? Do they keep in touch later? What if Shaun ended up as one of J'mon's studious concubines? Or a sexy roleplay where Shaun is the epic hero here to slay the dragon, but the dragon seduces him instead? On a sadder note, I imagine J'mon has lost many people over the years, and would have some good advice for Shaun after the CR1 finale.

Literally anything you write for this ship (that doesn't hit my DNWs) would delight me. Full on AU exploring what would have happened if they'd gotten together instead of how canon went. Arranged Marriage AU. Them hooking up in secret in the early days of the campaign. Them getting together after the events of the first campaign (but only with Vex's blessing, no cheating please.) Modern AU where they're college roommates and realize they have a crush on each other.
Keyleth/Raishan. Literally anything. Hatesex. Fighting. Raishan captures Keyleth and torments her for ages. Role reversal where Keyleth is evil and Raishan is her captive. AU where Keyleth is disillusioned with the Ashari and finds Raishan and they become allies.
Percy/Raishan. Curriebell did some excellent meta a while ago about the dynamic of green dragons specifically related to Percy and that's stayed with me ever since. Their powerplays and dynamic were so fascinating to me. Missing scene from canon where they have a longer chat sometime. AU where they make a different deal. AU where she carries him off. AU where she comes to him earlier in life and offers a bargain. Anything you want to explore with these two I'd love to read.
Pike Trickfoot/Vax'ildan. It breaks my heart that she nearly brought him to Sarenrae and then he couldn't go of his own free will. AU where he did get to become a Paladin for her instead? Or really anything. I love their closeness, doing each other's hair, nicknames, checking in on each other. I'd love to read something poignant, religious, smutty, funny, or just a pair of battle buddies hooking up after a successful mission.
Critical Role Campaign Two
Individuals:
Astrid. I would really love to read a character exploration about her. She poisoned her own family at the dinner table, that speaks to making it personal. She survived Trent and being a Scourger for years. She's powerful and ambitious. She's frightened. She's pretending to be weaker and more scared than she is, biding her time to strike at Trent and usurp him. What does she think of Caleb returning? What are her plans? Does she do anything to manage her stress and trauma? Is she haunted by dreams or is she ruthlessly compartmentalizing? What does she think of Eodwulf, of Trent, of Jester and the rest of the M9?
Captain Avantika. I love an ambitious woman. Please, anything about her at all. Her background, her power quest with Uk'atoa, her manipulation of Fjord, her taking charge of her crew, just how she escaped permanent death. I like the theory she and her first mate swapped places and she escaped.
Ships:
Astrid/Caleb Widogast/Essek Thelyss. This would be a tricky one and very tense but I would love to see it happen. Caleb either trying to work with them both, or Astrid and Essek making a pact to gang up on Caleb and make him rest for once, or Astrid and Caleb teaming up to seduce Essek who cannot withstand their combined forces of charm. They all have deeply personal intense political beliefs and relationships with magic and patriotism, I would love to read about them working through that too.
Caleb Widogast/Essek Thelyss/Jester Lavorre. OT3 Donutmancy. I love this trio so much. I love how Jester teased Essek, and later held his hands during the big reveal. I love how Caleb and Essek have this intense flirty spy vs spy magic teaching dynamic and then Caleb got all intense with him later after the reveal. I love how Jester and Caleb bring out the best in each other. I'd love to see the three of them flirting, falling in together in some way, figuring out how to make things work.
Astrid/Caleb Widogast/Essek Thelyss/Jester Lavorre. Basically, what I said about the two ships above, but combined! Love all these characters, I wanna see them interacting together and figuring out how to make things work with each other. Also down for a Modern AU, role reversals, pirate AU, anything really.
Avantika/Jester Lavorre. What if Jester wasn't just angry about the Avantika/Fjord dynamic because of her crush on Fjord, but because she had a crush on Avantika too? AU where Avantika fixates on Jester instead. AU where Jester decides to try and seduce Avantika and it works. What If alternate where Avantika is in port and Jester wants to flirt with the beautiful woman in the tavern. Smut would be great. So would confused pining and Jester sorting out her feelings for Avantika.
Beauregard Lionett/Ophelia Mardun. They didn't interact much but I would really love to read more about them interacting. Maybe an AU where Beau becomes her bodyguard? Or a modern AU where they meet up at a bdsm club? We know Ophelia likes inflicting pain and Beau is canonically a masochist, that could be very fun to play around with in a fic. I'm fond of the theory Ophelia is a vampire, feel free to use that too.
Artagan/Jester Lavorre. Jester Lavore/The Traveler. Smut would be amazing. So would his strange Fair Folk thoughts about her and how excited he is about her growing power. I'm also fond of the idea of Jester getting herself off and that energy transferring to the Traveler through their bond. If smut's not your thing, them pulling pranks together, doing art together, grappling with the realization that Jester's changed him as much as he's changed her. What does the future look like for Jester and Artagan's relationship?
Astrid/Jester Lavorre. Jester Lavorre/Astrid. Their brief meeting in episode 110 was soooooo good! I want to read more about them interacting, teaming up in a fight, saving each other, flirting, nudging each other cautiously and then not so cautiously. I think Astrid could benefit from time with Jester, and Jester could impress her with some direct insights.
Critical Oneshots
Jayne Merriweather. Gods I love this character so much. I would love to read anything about her, before or after the episode, just, wowwww. Growing up worshipping her god. Inflicting pain with spells. Making and breaking alliances. This is my favorite character Liam's ever played.
Undeadwood
Aloysius Fogg/Clayton Sharpe. I am so desperately in need of an AU where the shootout didn't happen, or Fogg only winged Clayton and then hauled him off for a trial and then the spell wore off, or some other kind of AU where things worked out. I want to see them grappling with what happened and coming to terms with it, and each other.
Arabella Whitlock/Miriam Landisman. These two have such a great emotional bond on the show. Anything exploring that would be delightful, from tentative comfort to full on smut. What if they set up a business together? What if they experiment with steampunk style sex toys? What if they take a trip to another city together? The issue of their husbands is tricky, please make it clear Arabella's husband has given her a divorce or something. As for Miriam's husband, is he real? Is it a business arrangement where he understands she'll have her love life and he'll have his own?
Clayton Sharp/Katie the Sex Worker; Clayton Sharp/Miriam Landisman. Even playing a gruff lone wolf badass, Matthew Mercer can't help but respect women and especially respond to strong badass women. I'd love to see either of these pairings where Clayton treats a lady right and the lady in question takes charge. Would really love smut, but if you're not up for smut that's ok, I'd be happy to see a date, or them fighting a Deadlands style threat, or a role reversal AU, or whatever strikes your fancy.

I am so desperately in need of an AU where the shootout didn't happen, or Fogg only winged Clayton and then hauled him off for a trial and then the spell wore off, or some other kind of AU where things worked out. I want to see them grappling with what happened and coming to terms with it, and each other.
Arabella Whitlock/Miriam Landisman. These two have such a great emotional bond on the show. Anything exploring that would be delightful, from tentative comfort to full on smut. What if they set up a business together? What if they experiment with steampunk style sex toys? What if they take a trip to another city together? The issue of their husbands is tricky, please make it clear Arabella's husband has given her a divorce or something. As for Miriam's husband, is he real? Is it a business arrangement where he understands she'll have her love life and he'll have his own?
Clayton Sharp/Katie the Sex Worker; Clayton Sharp/Miriam Landisman. Even playing a gruff lone wolf badass, Matthew Mercer can't help but respect women and especially respond to strong badass women. I'd love to see either of these pairings where Clayton treats a lady right and the lady in question takes charge. Would really love smut, but if you're not up for smut that's ok, I'd be happy to see a date, or them fighting a Deadlands style threat, or a role reversal AU, or whatever strikes your fancy.
