Michelotto having gay sex AND Caterina Sforza being all powerplay-y with Cesere in the bedroom and incorporating a knife into their foreplay?
Have I died and gone to heaven?
God I love this show ...
Though really, they brought on the kink this episode. Gay sex in a graveyard at midnight, Caterina Sforza and the KNIFE and Cesere and adklfjalfdjalfjal ... wowza.
I was right! I was right! Michelotto is gay! I WAS RIGHT! *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

Date: 2012-05-10 04:24 am (UTC)I mean, I liked The Tudors, I loved the Tudors, but there were things about The Tudors that just didn't work for me. Like I could never quite be a fan of Jonathan Meyers as Henry. Maybe it was the direction or the writing or the actor himself, but there were times when I loathed him. And seeing as the story tended to revolve around, well, HIM, that cut back on my enjoyment somewhat. But for the most part I loved that show.
The Borgias is EVEN BETTER. I love it SO MUCH MORE. I just ... and the ... people and stuff and ... I talked about it to a friend who hasn't seen it yet the other night via Facebook (Facebook is evil but useful now that I'm in college.) I mentioned the Borgias and he knew about them via Assassins Creed, which he said was like "a history lesson set in an action movie" to which I replied:
Me: The Borgias is like a history lesson set in a porno. Or, perhaps more accurately, an exploitation film, because it's sex AND violence.
And it's great. The historical accuracy ... the homoeroticism ... the pretty pretty guys ... the hot ladies in awesome dresses ... the Church politics!
Him: sounds like your kind of show
"it's sex And violence. And it's great."
can I quote you on that?
out of context
I have the best friends.
Anyways, OMG LUCREZIA THIS SEASON! I loved her last season, because she was kinda innocent and not in the loop and adorable, and then she just got brutally brutally brought into the world of adults in the worst possible way, but showed hints of becoming more devious by having an affair and having her husband's leg broken and messing with the French King and that whole mock trial thing to get her marriage annulled and I loved everything about her (and she's wicked pretty too, on top of all that fantastic acting.) Then this season ... Lucrezia Borgia: Like a Boss. That whole episode when she finds out Paolo is dead, and that Juan did it ... holy cheese that was fantastic acting and heartbreaking and then TERRIFYING.
Lucrezia: Perhaps I'll drop in on you in Spain.
Juan: D:

Hope you've seen the latest episode now, because WOW OH WOW OMG ... we need to talk after you do. aflajlfajljaljalfdjlakjfal SQUEEEEEEEE. I don't know if a show has ever pandered to me so much. Well, maybe Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, that was pandering to me quite a bit, but that was a movie ...
