Saw it again! (How could I not?)
Loved it just as much, if not more so, seeing as this time I knew what was going to happen so I could watch for clues, anticipate jokes, and notice every time Sebastian Moran showed up onscreen and SQUEE VERY LOUDLY OMG SEBASTIAN MORAN SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
(I don't understand, in real life I would not be attracted to a man like him at all. Ex-military, anger issues, smokes, kills animals, murders people ... not my type at all. I would be afraid of him. I would run away. In the movie and the books and the spinoff novels and the fanfiction, however, I am in love. WTF?)
Still mad about Irene getting fridged, very, very mad. It was handled better than in other movies, but still makes me mad. Why didn't she just go into hiding if they wanted her out of the story? Sherlock didn't need more motivation to go after Moriarty, Moriarty was already threatening Watson (and Mary) and blowing up buildings all over Europe, he had Sherlock's attention without killing his not-really-girlfriend.
Still not crazy about the explody stuff in the woods. It was a very well done scene, very impressive and exciting and cool to look at, but ... out of place. Why was that there? What was that scene in my Sherlock Holmes movie? I do not want or need ginormous explosions in my Sherlock Holmes movie, thank you very much. Yes, yes it's a very good scene, but I didn't order it thank you.
But ... that was really all that I didn't like about it this time around. I really enjoyed myself, again, and not just because I was cuddling my boyfriend the whole way through and we squeed at the same parts. (Though it was very nice to have someone to cling to in excitement during the fish-hook scene ... GUH! So hot, so wrong!)
Some things I forgot about after the first watching and re-remembered seeing it again:
1) The Crossdressing Waitresses/Waiters. They were pretty sexy.
2) Mycroft's aide/assistant/boyfriend/butler dude. I ship him and Mycroft now.
3) The Satanic Pony. As Sherlock is babbling after the adrenaline shot he mentions dreaming of being at a table with Watson, Mary, and "a Satanic pony" that had a flaming pitchfork or something. LOL!
Mostly what I took from the movie was: fun music, great cast, YAAAAAAAY SEBASTIAN MORAN DOING THINGS, sexy hot-wrong Sherlock/Moriarty FoeYay, good action, funny jokes, and YAAAAAAAY SEBASTIAN MORAN DOING THINGS!!!
