Earrings for Discworld

 I am now wearing my owl and ankh earrings, the earrings I'm going to wear next week at the Discworld Convention. I am SO EXCITED!!!

I thought about getting my ears pierced again so I could have four elephants on my ears but decided against it. I barely wear jewelry as it is, and besides, I couldn't find any good elephant earrings on ebay, etsy, or amazon.

So yeah, got a pair of ankhs and a pair of owls, and I'll wear one of each because it's clever and the best I could do, seeing as I can't make a fabulous costume with my bare hands or run a booth or read all of the books (today I'm going to do a marathon of the books I've had interlibrary loaned) or have courage.

I also bought a pair of sword earrings. They are badass. I shall post pictures later this month.

I am getting just as nervous as I'm getting excited. (So, a lot.) This is my first con EVER, I haven't read all of the books yet, I don't know anybody going except Kevin, and I don't really know him, and how do you say hi to someone who knows you as a crazy fangirl on the internet anyways?

*gulps*

I'm gonna be ok. I'm going to meet up with one of my friends to paw through her corset shirts sometime during the next few days. I'm going to read like there's no tomorrow and have FUN because it's going to be AWESOME.

I'm just a little scared right now, is all.
