Elle (Speculative Season 2 Mylar Fic)

Pairings: Um … one-sided Mylar …
Genre: Speculative Season 2
Word Count: 876 I think ..
Warnings: If you haven’t watched all of Season 1 of Heroes, you shouldn’t be here, you should wait and watch the DVDs!
Disclaimer: If I owned Heroes, this would probably happen.
Summary: A new character tries to kidnap Molly.
My Thoughts: I heard about this new character, Elle, played by Kristin Bell, and apparently the first time we see her she’ll be ‘committing a serious crime.’ Decided to give that a Mylar-related spin. Thanks to cricharddavies from the IMDb.com Heroes chatroom fro reminding me that the character’s name was Elle. And this is probably my last fic posting before SEASON 2 … ominous, that.
Mohinder took out his key and twisted it in the lock.
Molly screamed.
Mohinder let go of the key and whirled around.
A young blond woman, dressed all in black, was dragging Molly back. She pointed a gun at Mohinder. “Stay back!” she snapped, struggling with the squirming girl in her arms. “Don’t make me shoot!”
Mohinder backed against his door, hands raised. “Please … don’t do this. She’s just a little girl!”
The blond rolled her eyes. “Yeah, like you’re just playing Runescape late into the night, and your father was just a crazy scientist?” she gripped Molly tighter and addressed her. “Take the handcuffs out of my pocket.”
Molly aimed a vicious kick at the woman’s shins.
“Fine, brat,” the woman scowled, tossed Molly to the ground, took the handcuffs out of her pocket, snapped them on Molly, and threw another pair at Mohinder. “Put ’em on your ankles.” she dragged Molly back up.
Mohinder crouched down and picked up the handcuffs. “Please …”
“What have we here?”
Mohinder froze.
The woman whirled around, pointing her gun at the newcomer. “Don’t move!” she ordered.
Sylar laughed.
Mohinder felt chills run down his spine. What had he done in his previous life to deserve these horrendous situations?
The woman looked slightly unnerved. “I’m serious, I’ll shoot if I have to!”
Sylar took a few steps forward; he was substantially taller than the woman.
She shot.
The bullet stopped in midair, spinning madly. Sylar raised his eyebrows and it dropped to the floor.
The woman dropped her gun. “Oh shit.”
Sylar smiled. “Let go of the girl.”
The woman shook her head. “You don’t know what you’re getting into, dude. I want the girl, you want the man: it’s a win-win situation.”
Sylar scowled. “Kiss my ass.”
The woman snorted. “Maybe later …” she gave Sylar a long, sultry look. “But right now I need to take Molly Walker to someone very important, so unless you back off Mr. Sylar,”
Sylar started.
The woman grinned and continued. “Yeah, I know your name. What about Isaac Mendez, or Zane Taylor, or Gabriel Gray?”
Sylar telekinetically flung her into a wall. He strode forward, snapping the cuffs off of Molly and lightly shoving her towards Mohinder. Sylar paused and cocked his head to the side.
“You’re special … Elle …”
The woman paled. “How did you –?!”
Mohinder – still crouching on the floor, his arms around the trembling Molly – gasps. “You killed Matt Parkman?!”
Sylar snorts. “No, I killed an eighty-year-old cancer patient who was going to die within the week. Matt Parkman is too well guarded. But back to you, Elle,” Sylar fixed the shaking woman with a glare. “What can you do?”
Elle’s eyes flicked from side to side. “I can do this.”
Something exploded; smoke filled the hallway; there was the sound of breaking glass; Sylar swore; and there were some furious scuffling noises.
Mohinder groped around and yanked his door open. He and Molly clambered inside, but not fast enough.
“Oh no you don’t!” Sylar snapped, a telekinetic force dragging them back into the hallway.
As the smoke cleared, Mohinder saw that the window was broken and Elle was gone.
“Jumped out the damn window …” Sylar kicked a small round something on the floor. “Smoke-bomb … government-class … she’s not your average kidnapper.”
Mohinder pushed himself up into a sitting position. “Fine, she’s gone, but what about you? Are you here to kidnap Molly?”
Sylar crossed his arms. “I came to check up on you: four months is an awfully long time to hide in the sewers with rats and such. How are you, Mohinder?”
The genetesict blinked. “How am I?! Oh, I’m fine now that my father’s murderer – who was supposed to be dead – just showed up outside my doorstep!” he stood up. “Why are you really here, Sylar? To kill me? I can’t exactly stop you, so why the wait?”
Sylar glanced at Molly. Her eyes drooped and she crumpled.
Mohinder dove down to her side. He felt her pulse and looked up at Sylar. “You knocked her out?”
Sylar shrugged. “Yeah … useful ability, huh?”
Mohinder scowled. “Who’d you get it from?”
“Woman with severe internal injuries after a car-crash. Doctors couldn’t save her. I’m only taking from those who are dying. They call me the Angel of Death now.”
Mohinder stood up. “Why are you here? The List? I’ll never give it to you.”
Sylar sighed. “You’d do anything if I threatened that little girl. She your adopted daughter? That’s sweet …”
Mohinder felt cold.
“But that’s not why I’m here Mohinder … not the List. I can find special people just by going through intensive care wards now. I just wanted to see how you were getting along, if you were still in
“What –” Mohinder never got to finish.
Sylar’s lips collided with his own. Sylar’s hands were in his hair. Sylar’s breath was on his face.
Mohinder couldn’t move. Shock had frozen him as utterly as telekinesis or ice.
Sylar drew back. “See you around, Mohinder …” he turned, hurried down the stairs, and was gone.

This makes me sort of like Elle, even if I don't like Kristin Bell very much.
I have never seen 'Veronica Mars' ... EVER. I don't think I've seen her in ANYTHING ... this just worked.
And the mylar, yum!
For a speculated episode 1, they couldn't just dive into a sex scene right then and there. Several episodes of creepy stalking has to occur first ...
I also love how you included the intensive care ward thing like what they've hinted at in the graphic novels and in the previews and such
I didn't realize I'd done that, and I've been following the graphic novels like mad! (Btw, what do you think of the new one? Those twins are kinda scary ...) I must catch up on promos! *dives into youtube*

Okay, so the writing wasn't absolutely /fabulous/ but it didn't have to be. I've seen better from you so I know you can write, but the /idea/ was there. And the fact that the Mylar was so brief...
Btw, nice creativity - Sylar sneaking through wards...being the Angel of Death - rather ironic and incredibly useful. I'd rather he did /that/ then kill younger and/or healthier people as much as I hate to admit it.
Not bad, not bad. Definitely creative. And a fun read.

I didn't really have TIME to give absolutely fabulous writing, just a quick snapshot to state our hunger until tomorrow night (YAY!)

That's all we'd get if we got it ... first time it'd be small and prepping for cool stalking later on ...

I never believed that he'd really kill Molly. He was DRAGGING HER OFF, not killing her on the spot. I mean, he took out Charlie *sob* about three feet away from people and still managed to get her ability in about five seconds. He was never going to kill Molly, and I like the idea of him taking powers from people who are gonna die anyway.
Not bad, not bad. Definitely creative. And a fun read.
Why thank you! It just popped out ... I wonder what 'serious crime' we're going to see Elle ACTUALLY committing ... (it would be SO SCARY if this really happened!)
