 I loved how the first 15 minutes were introductions. And JewWario's DANCE!

I love how interactive and hilarious Nick (aka Y Ruler of Time) was during the whole panel. He didn't get many questions, but his reactions to things were really great to watch.

*coughs* Oh god, he keeps playing to my darkest fetishes … somebody stop him ...

Nella going crazy Keet over Disneyland was adorable. When I go to a convention she'll be at, I'm so gonna hold up a sign saying "Nella, will you marry me?" during Q&A.

Unabridged Nella My Little Ponies soap opera?!?!?!??!?!?!!

I feel so bad for poor Marz. I know about the Tanuki and their "magical scrotums" and as crazy as it sounds it IS important in the folklore and isn't just some crazy anime thing. Explaining that to a group of laughing geeks is not a task anyone should have to face. (Now I wanna give her a hug and talk about Japanese folklore with her!)

Oh lord, Spoony just wrapped the microphone cord around his neck … *faints*

I love how when someone asked Linkara "Are you a man?" Nash practically fell off his chair leaning away onto Jesu, and she put the pizza box over their heads for shelter. The idea of a superhero with some kind of explosive power/attack and their teammates regularly taking cover is really appealing to me for comedic purposes … *makes a note*
(Hee, they actually got 'Bearded Idiot' up for the punch!)

I've been watching them in chunks over the past couple of days. They're split into four videos (follow the links from the Treehouse, they're best) and you can just watch a couple minutes at a time. Spacing it out worked nicely for me.

At least, that's how I view things. RTD's adoration of her, wedging her into the story as much as possible, making the Doctor spend a whole season mourning her like she was dead and treating a perfectly good companion like CRAP ... that I have a problem with.

That's ok, Doctor Who is tricky to get into. If you want, I suggest starting with the new stuff (2005, "Season 1") it's weird, cheesy, and insane ... but it gets really good if you stick with it. If you think about the plots of individual episodes it sounds so BAD, but watching it, seeing the tone and the passion and the visions ... I'm not doing a good job of selling it, am I?
It's not a requisite of geekdom, but I heartily suggest checking it out and giving it a go, if only to understand what people are talking about.

Well, considering many people call Rose a Mary Sue and many people call Wesley a Marty Stu ... I guess? I don't know enough about Star Trek to properly compare the two (I know a little bit about Star Trek, and a little bit about Wesley ... like he was played by WIL WHEATON WIL WHEATON WIL WHEATON IS THE MAN!!!!!!!) I know that a lot of people were annoyed immensely by Wesley as a character, while people are annoyed with Rose because of the way other people (mostly the Doctor) react to her. Rose herself is just fine, she just gets blown WAY out of proportion in my opinion.

...I was in Linkara's entourage. No, really.

Some time in November, I started talking to Liz with great frequency, and I reached out to her and Lewis, offering to pick them up from the airport; they accepted my offer, and picking Lewis up was an experience for the ages. Walking into MAGFest with Lewis, Liz, Nochi, and her friend Kyo... "we're a goddamn entourage!" That was the first time.

The second time was an epic trip to McDonald's. There were, in my car:

- Linkara
- Iron Liz
- Scarlett (who made sure my parking space was secure while we were gone...she cones like nobody's business)
- Todd in the Shadows, unmasked no less
- Pushing Up Roses

One particularly amusing moment was when I had just parked the car, and Todd and Roses were the last to get out...

Todd: ...so how do I get out of this car?
Roses: You could try opening the door.
Dodger: Todd, it's okay. What you just experienced is called "DERP." It's natural, it's normal, and it's perfectly okay to experience it.
Todd: In MY day it was called "DUH!"

And the third time was taking Lewis back to the airport. I didn't think him and Liz would ever let go of each other.
