Ok, so while re-watching BtVS season 4, episode 'A New Man' (Giles gets turned into a demon by Ethan) I started dreaming up slash for those two. Oh, come ON! They were teenage (drugged out, messing with Dark Magic and orgies were mentioned once in season2) friends and Giles beats Ethan up a lot. They also have sexy accents. WEIRDER THINGS (i.e. Mylar!) have been suggested!
Searched for lj sites, found some that have about two posts from this year. Not promising.
Does anyone know of a site (perhaps a Buffyverse slash site) on lj where I could post Ethan/Giles slash? Just posting it here doesn't seem like much fun ...

Ok first of all, Ethan/Giles haunted my dreams after the episode where that thing is chasing them (you know, where Jenny gets posessed?) Seriously. There were creepy slash dreams. I definately think they experimented in their youth. With each other.

Secondly, Mylar is not weirder. While Joss Whedon may be better at creating slashy characters and shippy scenarios, Mylar is more canon than Ethan/Giles.

Thirdly, I don't know about any lj comms where you can post it, but you could always put it on fanfiction.net. I'm sure they would welcome more BtVS slash. Especially if it's GOOD slash.

Look, I know that Mylar is Canon amonst US, but look at it from an annoying bystander's point of view.
1) Sylar kills people. A lot. In nasty ways.
2) Sylar killed Mohinder's FATHER.
3) If Mohinder is THAT kinky, he hasn't told us yet.

Still, Mylar IS PRETTY DAMN believable ... FYG, the phone call (before his own MOTHER!) the road trip ... still ... Ethan/Giles seems to have a bit more to go on ... I mean, Giles may kick Ethan around, but he's never REALLY tried to kill him ... or vice versa ...

Especially if it's GOOD slash.

There should be no such thing as annoying bystanders. Anyone who sees heroes and doesn't immediately think "omg Mylar!" should have their brains eaten.

Still, Mylar IS PRETTY DAMN believable ... FYG, the phone call (before his own MOTHER!) the road trip Let's not forget Parasite with the random convenient gaps that ended with Mohinder on the ceiling XD. Or the fact that Mohinder chooses to take Peter's dead body back to his mother, leaving the serial killer unconcious BUT NOT DEAD on the floor.

Ethan/Giles has it's own little problems too (ie Ethan lol) and even though they've never tried to kill each other, they are actually disturbingly similar to Mylar. Let's not forget Band Candy, in which there is some Mylar-esque gun-pointing and violence and Halloween with more violence and death threats. Also A New Man with even more violence and drink-drugging and whatnot.

And yes, of course I am complimenting your writing, silly ^_^

Oh, Mylar and Ethan/Giles IS pretty similar ... Sylar would kick Ethan's ass, I'm afraid, though Mohinder and Giles match up pretty well ...

Hee, see, I'm a nutcase who ships Giles/Buffy, so "A New Man" wherein she recognizes him, etc, makes me think of that ship, as opposed to Ethan/Giles.

HOWEVER. While not a huge fan (for whatever reason-- clearly I'm very pro-slash, etc), Giles/Ethan subtext DEFINITELY exists, and I do know of many peoples who ship it, etc. Honestly I think there was even one episode where there were drugged out flashbacks that were really hard to see, but appeared to be them kissing? I think? I may be making it up, but I don't think so. Don't know if you read Harry Potter? But Grindelwald/Dumbledore really, REALLY reminded me of Ethan/Giles.

It appears that stay_and_gloat is the comm for the ship, and also giles_slash might be a more active place to post fics. :) Good luck! I'll totally read your fics if you write some.
