Didn't manage to finish the fic. However, I DID read and review more of Zoe's book, work a lot on that mega huge superhero fanmix (should be posted by the weekend if all goes well) had a generally nice day and capped it off with watching the series finale of Pushing Daisies, which was sweet and wonderful and made me tear up, but I'm glad they got to sort of got to tie up all the ends. Except for Ned's dad! What about Ned's dad?! Where is that made-for-tv movie explaining that, or a comic, or SOMETHING! I know they intended to continue, I just want the continuing right now!
Today I took breaks by watching new Mock the Week episodes. I do so love that show. I screamed with laughter and laughed so hard I cried.
It was an all-around good day.

But now ... now I need a hug. It's a horribly personal thing that I can't ellaborate on, but ... I really need a hug right now. REALLY need a hug. *sniffles* Guess I'll have to hug myself for now ...
I can't wait until classes start up properly so I can see all my friends and get hugs from THEM when I need them.
This time last year, I had no idea that my first (and only) best friend was a mentally unstable pathological liar, and god-knows what else besides. I thought I could count on her, back then. I was probably basking in the glory of that Shakespeare month, my mentor's wedding, and seeing The Dark Knight again.
Great, now I've depressed myself further. *huggles self*

I'm going to go watch the pilot of The West Wing to distract myself from my feelings. Or maybe some TGWTG vids. Those usually cheer me up.

I prescribe three Dancing Benzaies and one Cackling Insano.

How about I remind you that you did, in fact, technically watch a video where Lewis' pants fell off, and then I go wash my brain because oh good lord I cannot sexualize my friends it is too fucking weird.

But it makes you happy. :)

Thank you. I'm sorry that we make you so uncomfortable.
(At least we're not hardcore Twilight fans.)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH TWILIGHT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(Bear in mind that some of my uncomfortableness may be exaggerated for comedic effect.)
(But not my Twilight anguish)
(Because seriously)

Twilight means never having to say you're sorry -- or having to exaggerate your anguish. (... Sob.)

*sporfles* Ok, ok ... it's just hard to understand your tone when I can't hear your voice, just see your words. It's usually safe to assume that someone is being deadly serious.

Heh heh ... 'Twilight anguish' ... are you chagrined about that? Does it dazzle you?

They don't NEED to sparkle. They were dazzling me long before Twilight, and they will long after.

Um...
We don't actually know one another, but thanks to the beauty of TV Tropes, I've come across your lj. You sound like a pretty neat person, so it distresses me that you're upset.

So have a super-duper-ultra-special internet hug!

*SUPER-DUPER-ULTRA-SPECIAL INTERNET HUG*

Also, I write fanfic, and I'm planning on doing a prompt!meme over at my long-abandoned lj and am TOTALLY willing to write TGWTG drabble fics for your enjoyment. Rumor has it I'm not too bad at fanfics, and I completely share your adoration of the Linky one.

So...that's all I got.

I hope you feel better, doll.

-Freya.

Oooo, welcome new person!
(Hurrah for tvtropes!)
Awwwww, thank you so much for a super-duper-ultra-special internet hug! *hugs you back*
Woot! New fanfic on the way, that's awesome!

(P.S. Does your username signify that you're a Norse Mythology nut like myself? Because that would really just take the cake.)

Twisted ficcers of the world, UNITE!
'course, if you want them, you need to leave prooooooooooompts at my lj, because I am currently absent of muse.

(Although (and I feel like such a stalker admitting this)(Hey, nested parentheses!) I did read the conversation you guys had about a Firefly/TGWTG fic, and I would totally write that.)

Also, random fact: Freya Sacksen is actually my real name. I use it simply because I can never be bothered coming up with an interesting username, so I just stick to my own name.

Although yes, I am a bit of a Norse Mythology nut. I'm still stoked that I don't die during Ragnarok. Woo!

We'll need more names, as we are no long the Three Musketeers, + two D'Artagans ...

(Although (and I feel like such a stalker admitting this)(Hey, nested parentheses!) I did read the conversation you guys had about a Firefly/TGWTG fic, and I would totally write that.)
Firefly/TGWTG - GO WRITE THAT ONE! PLEASE GODS ABOVE WE NEED THAT ONE LIKE ... LIKE ... LIKE ... SOMETIME WE DIRELY NEED!
(So ... would it be a 'Linkara is an ascended fanboy who ends up in the Firefly verse and knows what's what' or a 'Linkara and Insano end up in a strange future with spaceships, space cannibals, space pirates, and a crazy girl who takes a liking to Insano' or are you the type to keep things a surprise?)

Also, random fact: Freya Sacksen is actually my real name. I use it simply because I can never be bothered coming up with an interesting username, so I just stick to my own name.
*jawdrop* You, madam, are BADASS. That is an AWESOME name!

Although yes, I am a bit of a Norse Mythology nut. I'm still stoked that I don't die during Ragnarok. Woo!
I was in a Viking class a long time ago, and panting a large poster of Yggdrasil for the backdrop of a certain portion of the puppet show we preformed at the end of class (long story.) It still hands on my wall. I should take a picture and post it here on this journal, it's very cool ... though I did leave a lot of stuff out, and I messed up some of the colors.

(P.S. I hope you don't mind me asking, but what country to you originally hail from? Because at the moment Belgium is dominating the TGWTG slash fandom, and I'm curious.)

I can be Rimmer - I mean, the Queen of Spain. Yes. That's what I said.

I made a start on writing it once, but Mal came out wrong, so I'll give it another go. It did feature Simon wondering why Linkara had Earth-That-Was money on him, and River informing Linkara that his clothes *should* have been torn off him by the space-time continuum.

That is an AWESOME name!
Thank you for thinking my name is awesome. I think it is pretty damn cool, too.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what country to you originally hail from?
I was born in England, but currently hail from Middle-Earth New Zealand. And no, I do not know Suede, a fact that shocks and saddens me. Shocks, because this is *New Zealand*, land where you can walk into a class taught by the father of your childhood friend, sit next to the older sister of your ex-boyfriend and borrow notes off of the best friend of an old acquaintance *without batting an eyelid*.

Saddened, because let's face it: Suede is AWESOME.

There's a geeky joke in there ... I know I'm missing it. Rimmer as in Red Dwarf?

Thank you for thinking my name is awesome. I think it is pretty damn cool, too.
In real life, I don't have an awesome name. I have a very common name. So I gave myself a nickname that people at theater and schools have called me ever since. *smiles* And, well, 'aunt_zelda' is pretty bitchin' too, if I do say so myself.

YOU LIVE IN MIDDLE EARTH NEW ZEALAND?! That is DOUBLY AWESOME! (I want to visit there, it sounds so beautiful and nice gorgeous. Well, except for having four sheep for every one person, but then again I do like small crowds ...)
It's too bad that you don't know Suede. Because he is also awesome. And cute. And hysterical.

Uh-huh. In one episode, talking about his brothers he says:
'God, we were close. The Four Musketeers we used to call ourselves. Well, the Three Musketeers, actually, but they always let me be the Queen of Spain. Marvellous.'

(I want to visit there, it sounds so beautiful and nice gorgeous. Well, except for having four sheep for every one person, but then again I do like small crowds ...)
True, true, true and true. Although Wellington is apparently the only city in the world where the sidewalks have LANES.
Also, don't worry about the sheep. You only really encounter them once you head into The Area Of The Rural. In The Area Of The Urban and the Dreaded Suburbs, you have to put up with rugby fanaticism.

If it's any consolation, I know how you feel. I'm having massive family problems at the moment and I need all the distractions, friends and hugs I can manage at the moment.

*hugs* As well as the rest of your prescriptions, might I suggest a certain fangirly review of Follow That Bird and the bondage fun Linkara episode of MFT? ;) Those should help.
