So ... yeah. Today's my brithday. I have yet to do much of anything. (Though I did watch Linkara's new video. He danced. Twice. And tossed off his hat and coat. Happy birthday to me!)
Tonight I'm going to the theater, and tomorrow I'm seeing, not, one, but TWO Shakespeare plays! HUZZAH! I love it when my grandmother buys me tickets for presents.
I'm excited, but I don't feel different yet. I guess that'll come in time ...
So, I won't have access to the internet for the next couple of days. Stuff going on. But hopefully I'll be distracted by my (yet to be recieved) awesome presents! And I promise, SLASH IS COMING SOON! The Winter's Tale, Harry/Marcone, some TGWTG ... this weekend? Next week? You get the picture.
So ... TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY! HURRAY!


P.S. I recently got addicted to Girl Genius. I need to stop getting addicted to webcomics. Or post a list of my favorite ones, so you lot can get addicted with me.

I'm obsessed with XKCD at the moment. I know it's the Holy Geekdom of all comics but hey, it gave SMeyer a Crowning Moment Of Awesome and that is really hard to do.

Speaking of Linkara, did you see Bennet's new video? As soon he started talking/ranting about how everyone in the Silver Age got spanked (I- I really don't know how anyone would even have the balls to spank Batman *scarred for life*), I thought of you. ;)

It really was fricking adorable. I remember when I first started watching his lists (it went lists - Tom and Jerry - everything else so I hadn't known about Follow That Bird at this point), I was just so pleased and melty by how sweet and fun it all was. And I do kind of also love that while that was the adorable side, we got the selfish, spoilt brat the very next week. ;)

And I seriously LOVE the books. Did you watch the tv show while it was on? I did, but then it got cancelled. I was disappointed that it didn't even GET to the actual stories ( i liked the show, don't get me wrong). But the books are AMAZING. I've never actually spoke to another person who reads them, unfortunately. Thomas was my absolute favourite character though, loved him. Harry/Marcone... I just realized I never actually "shipped" anyone in the Dresden Files. Didn't mind Harry/Murphy though. Perhaps I'll head over to that comm and check out some fics tonight. I love being back on my own computer ^^

I ADORE the books. I started putting little slips of paper in them to bookmark my favorite bits, and it's ridiculous how many there are ... I'll have to take them out and write down the page numbers on a note card or something, as I'm lending the books out and my friends are catching up to the books-with-bookmarks-in-them.

I watched the Pilot and the second episode ... it was ok. Not loyal to the series, but ... maybe that was a good thing. See, when movies try to follow books too much and FAIL, they get ridiculed. If you take the premise, the characters, some of the plots, and make something completely new that's essentially The Dresden Files: The TV show ... you've got a great COMPANION to the books.
At least, that's how I've tried to view things.

I just realized I never actually "shipped" anyone in the Dresden Files.
Well, I'm a slash fangirl. (That's the reason I got online.) So the Harry/Marcone was jumping out at me during their first meeting in the back of Marcone's limo.
I MUST finish some fic of those two, the fandom is too tiny ...
