I saw Across The Universe for the first time last night. FANTASTIC movie! Wonderful voices all around, and I LOVED the song-and-dance bits, particularly 'I Want You/She's So Heavy.' And 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' was a pleasant surprise. The intro was great as well.
The trippy bits I could have done without. It was like the movie was trying to say 'The Beatles are cool, but don't do drugs, kids' because, yeah, if I ever have the slightest inclination towards illicit substances, I'll just think about 'I Am the Walrus' and say 'no!' Seriously, I felt dizzy and sick and I had my eyes shut for most of it!
During 'Let It Be' I cried. Not because of the wonderful depiction of two societies both grieving for a young dead boy, but because I think it'll be a while yet before I can look at coffins and burials without freaking. *huggles self*
Good movie, great musical, wonderful concept, could've done without the trippiness.

In other news, I got The Amulet of Vichalace via amazon.com and MAN why didn't anybody tell me about it before?! The only reason I got into it was because I was browsing deviantart.com and found one of the author's fanarts and ... seriously, FANTASTIC book! Took a while to pick up after the explosive, and wonderful prologe but once the werewolves and vampires start crawling out of the woodwork all is forgiven. (I'm nearly done, don't tell me a thing yet!)

Also, today I shall attempt to catch up on, not just Kiro (like I tried last week) but also Plaude. Mylar comes later. Much, much later. I don't even want to think about how much Mylar I need to read ... like a month I think ... *feels ill*

Anyhoodle, this week's graphic novel:
So, that chick who tried to kill Linderman? Latest graphic novel is focused on her. She seems to have worked for the Company, tracking down people for them (is she related to Molly, perhaps?) but she kept one guy to herself, taking his power I guess. She kills (? … what, ya never know on this show!) the Company woman with the brown bob and glasses (Angela?) and sets off to find Linderman.

P.S. What's this I hear about Jericho being cancelled again?! Tell me where to send the peanuts, I'm ready this time!
