In other news, today I hang out with friends and watched the inauguration. I cried during Obama's speech. *wibbles* He looked so nervous beforehand! *huggles him* And Bush is GONE BABY GONE! I think I saw the scarf that Claude stole around someone's neck in D.C., though ... anyone else catch that?
Why was everyone all bundled up in D.C. anyways? It can't be THAT cold there! I was all hooded up and scarfed last week, but that was when it was several degrees below zero. Wimps ...
Wish I could have been there, though. Looked like fun, and I would have wanted to go skating with those people at the end. I don't envy the people who had to use those portable toilets, though. I heard it was one for every 6,600 people or something obscene like that. *shudders* I
Yo-Yo Ma! YAHOO! Cello! YAY!
Sasha's so cute, isn't she? I LOVE her outfit, all that orange ... I'm insanely jealous!
I stuck a makeshift Obama flag into my hair for the morning. People looked at me weird. I later took it out, so as not to interfear with peoples' view of the TV. I looked particularly fetching today, but I'm not sure anyone noticed. *sighs* We all went for a walk (it was so BEAUTIFUL today! Little spittings of snow, blue blue sky) after watching the Luncheon, and it was actually kinda warm out. Well, still cold, but warm enough that I lent my Harry Dresden jacket to one of the guys who said he was freezing and danced around with only one pair of pants, a tank top, and a long-sleeved shirt on. Other people shoved each other and leapt into snowbanks, and I fantasized about tackling That-Guy into a snowbank and kissing him. I wanted to leap on him and kiss him when Obama was sworn in, but that wouldn't have worked. I wanted to hug someone, but there was no one in close reach that I wasn't sure didn't have a crush on me.
So ... I had a fantastic day on the whole, but I am now very tired and trying to work on DW S5 whilst watching the parade. *takes a deep breath* Yes I can ... yes I can ... yes I can ...
