I get all girded up and actually LOOK HIM IN THE EYES and ask him to the party (mangling my prepared line, of course and blushing a lot and eventually laughing nervously) and I get a response that wasn't so much rejection as surprised apathy. Later I clarified that I COULD give him a ride, if need be, and he said "I'll think about it" and smiled. So I felt better, and asked him again at the end of the day, and, despite having been coached by some of his guy friends, he STILL said "I'll think about it." I was reassured by one of the guy friends later on, though, so *shrugs* I'm tentatively hopeful. Now if only he'd say "YES" and I could move on into 'omg omg he said YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!' territory like any normal person.
Moving on from my 'social life' (ha ha ha, I actually might have one soon!) here's another random thought for V3:
Wouldn't it have been awesome if, instead of Meredith (which I'm still fuzzy on the reasoning behind) HRG yanked Claude out of the blue for the Bennet Family Protector?
"Hey guys, since I'm still working for that evil evil Company and killers are on the loose, here's a semi-familiar face, Uncle Claude! You may remember him from the Sunday dinners Tim Kring never got to film!"
It would be EPIC. And PERFECT. And WONDERFUL!
And Lyle is totally HRG and Claude's love child. It explains why he's so seldom caught on camera.
Also I'm mad that I don't have the time or skillz or abilities to make fanvids, because as I was drifting off to sleep last night I kept envisioning this Heroes vid to 'The Cell Block Tango' and even figured out some of the parts. Claire would be June and Brody would be her 'husband' and the car crash would be the 'ten times' bit; Niki would be Velma and the Jessica/Nathan vid would be 'number 17 ... the spread eagle' and her blacking out would be Niki waking up in the garage all bloody; Simone would be Mona and talk about how Isaac found Ruth (Peter) Gladys (Eden) Rosemary (HRG) and Irving (Sylar.)
Seriously. Someone has GOT to make that movie! (With, ya know, a little credit to me, but still, if someone does, that would be FANTASTIC.)
