No no no no NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Aug. 12th, 2008 08:16 pmI just saw a new Heroes promo whilst half-watching the Olympics with my Lost-buddies. (I'm really working hard on phoenixjustice's b-day present.)
Guess what's going on in this promo?
We have new clips.
They're of Mohinder.
Mohinder with CUT HAIR at one point.
And that's not even the worst of it.
No, Mohinder is talking about scientific discoveries that people DREAM of making. He might be talking to Maya, I dunno, my TV is blurry. Then he holds up this syringe and says "what's in this syringe could give powers to anybody." (Ok, that's not exactly what he said, but my brain is fried, it's close enough.)
Then I remember the clip from a previous promo in which Mohinder is injecting himself with a syringe that looks JUST LIKE THE ONE HE'S TALKING ABOUT IN THIS PROMO.
I jumped around yelping "No no no no NO!" really loudly.
If Mohinder gets a power (which is something quite a lot of the fans have been against since the dawn of the show, myself included) Sylar WILL find out. And then he might kill him. And then I won't be able to slash them! It'll be just as bad, if not more so, than when Light had L killed! *wibbles furiously*
Of course, there is a silm, fantastic chance that, if Mohinder gets a power, when Sylar finds out, he WON'T kill him, thus giving even MORE fodder to our semi-canon pairing. I must cling to that hope.

(There is no question that, if Mohinder gets a power, Sylar will find out. Seriously, guys, Sylar knows where Mohinder's at almost all the time: his apartment, or the loft/lab. After Sylar messes about with Claire, I am confident that Sylar will seek Mohinder out for some more eyesex. Or possibly just sex. Who knows. Claude is coming back this season, anything's possible.)

WHAT?! ARE YOU FOR SERIOUS?! I NEEDS LINKAGE!
Okay, I'm abusing the capslock. But how did you find this out? I haven't really heard anything about it!

Date: 2008-08-13 01:41 am (UTC)I found out because my friend, phoenixjustice, posted about spoilers, and because Heroes hasn't been on in ages I turned into a spoiler whore for a while.

Date: 2008-08-13 08:42 pm (UTC)All I've ever heard are staff members saying that Claude isn't dead and it would be nice to have him back on the show, but none of the stronger nudge-nudge-wink-wink comments they've made for other spoilers.

Date: 2008-08-14 10:57 pm (UTC)Do you count the 'spoiler' that Angela Petrelli has THREE kids as a nudge-nudge-wink-wink spoiler, or not?
After all, it's kinda obvious who her third kid is, judging from the promos ...no subject
Date: 2008-08-15 04:47 am (UTC)Basically, I just wondered how the spoiler was originally worded--the websites you linked didn't seem to cite all their sources.

Date: 2008-08-13 12:55 am (UTC)Sylar would never kill Mohinder. Really. That's just crazy. I'm sure Mohinder will have some lame power, and Sylar will rationalize his need to have his favorite doctor around forever. He luruuurves him.
Also, if they killed Momo, we'd have no one to do the voiceovers at the beginning! I mean, yes, sometimes other people do them, but no one does them quite like him. Though Adrian Pasdar can do my voiceover any day. If you know what I mean.

OR, alternatively, Mohinder will use his ability to
and Sylar will rationalize his need to have his favorite doctor around forever. He luruuurves him.
Well, duh. There is no other explanation as to why Mohinder is still alive after DRUGGING Sylar, TORTURING Sylar, and TRYING TO KILL Sylar. We know how much of a vendetta Sylar has against HRG after the drugging/testing thing, I'd say Mohinder rates higher on the 'crimes against Sylar' front ... and yet he still lives and breathes. AND Sylar appeared to be prepared to leave Mohinder and Molly alive after getting the cure, so it's not like he hasn't had opportunities.
Ah ... now I remember why I love this pairing so damn much ...
I've heard a nasty rumor that some Aboriginal-guy will be doing the voiceovers in V3. It's been referred to as 'taking Mohinder's job.' This worries me.
Though Adrian Pasdar can do my voiceover any day. If you know what I mean.
Oh, I know what you mean, dear. V2 Nathan (post-beard of course) stole my heart. V1 Nathan kinda creeped me out, I don't know why ...

Date: 2008-08-16 11:36 pm (UTC)Agh, I never thought of Momo killing Sylar. But it seems like Mohinder would never kill anyone. He's one of those moral high ground people.
Indeed. My love for Mylar is epic. I just don't have another pairing like them at all.
WHAT? WHAT? I don't want anyone but Mohinder or Pasdar doing the voice-overs.
Awww, I've always loved Nathan. A lot. It's kind of sad. I LOVE HIM. He's just really fucking hot and he loves his Peter and gagh.

Date: 2008-08-17 02:13 am (UTC)*huggles you* Be strong, dear, be strong. We've got to hold out for
a heroMohinder's hair.No no, Mohinder wouldn't kill Sylar. Oh, he'd SAY he was going to, and drug Sylar, and tie him up, and announce that he's gonna kill him and avenge his father's death, blah blah blah ... but he'd be far too conflicted and just ramble a lot and look sixteen shades of hot and Sylar would eventually break free ... and NOT kill Mohinder.
Indeed. My love for Mylar is epic. I just don't have another pairing like them at all.
For me, Doctor/Master is scaling the charts, but Mylar was my first internet pairing, so it'll always hold a special place in my heart.
WHAT? WHAT? I don't want anyone but Mohinder or Pasdar doing the voice-overs.
I KNOW! I second that! (Personally I like the different characters doing the voiceovers, but they should stick with Mohinder ... or Nathan. Or Claude. Please, GOD let Claude do voiceovers! Or Paul McGann, which I am aware would make no damn sense.)

Date: 2008-08-19 10:48 pm (UTC)Upon further thinking about the word epic, I guess I would definitely say that Doctor/Master is far more epic. I mean, they've loved/fought with/angsted at/tried to save one another, for what, 900 years or so? I'm unclear as to how old they both are now, but I thought someone once told me they're about 900 or so. This could be a complete lie I learned from wikipedia, though.
Awww, Mylar was your first internet pairing? How cute! In a twisted sort of way... Clex was my first internet pairing.
Mmm, I do love Claude's voice as well.
Um. Yeah, Paul McGann really, really wouldn't make any sense. I can't fight you on that one.
Though I haven't seen him as Eight, so maybe I could love him even though I don't know it yet.

Date: 2008-08-20 02:05 am (UTC)If Zachary Quinto looses his hair, I will sue NBC for causing me great mental distress. I am not kidding.
Well, the Doctor's age is a debatable thing. He SAYS he's about 900 in the new series, so most people take it to mean he's around 900 or so (how does he keep count, anyhoodle?) and most people assume that he and the Master are the same age (give or take a few 'months') but yeah, they've been bantering, breaking up, teaming up, swordfighting, scuffling, and being slashed for almost as long as the show's been around. *huggles them* It's wonderful.
Awww, Mylar was your first internet pairing? How cute! In a twisted sort of way... Clex was my first internet pairing.
Yep, Mylar was what alerted me to what slash WAS, and sucked me into this vortex of dub-con and blush-worthy words. I used to be so VERY naive ...
Clex is Clark/Lex, right? Hee hee hee, I watched about three episodes of Smallville, the slash was practically spelled out in big flashing lights.
Um. Yeah, Paul McGann really, really wouldn't make any sense. I can't fight you on that one.
If you heard his voice, you would understand. If he did the voiceovers, no one would complain, even though it's more of a crack-theory than Ron being Dumbledore.

Date: 2008-08-30 07:15 pm (UTC)I know. The Dcotor and the Master are soooo epic and lovely. I love them so!
Ah, dub-con. For me, no one does it better than the Doctor and the Master, but it can fit some Mylar stuff. It just depends on the writer. Sometimes it's believable, sometimes not so much.
Oh man. Clark/Lex is Clex, and damn. They are so slashy. The slash was so.obvious. in seasons one to three, kind of died in season four, made a comeback in season five, and I don't know about season 6, but that finale was slash-tastic! It ended with Lex holding Clark in his arms as the ice fortress collapsed on them. And Lex said he loved Clark like a brother, and, well, the only TV brothers I know are sehr slashy.

Date: 2008-09-01 02:14 am (UTC)If his hair had been all-equal length I would have adored him and fallen in love with him. But the bangs ... were so annoying. I jumped for joy when Sylar reached up to cut them off, even though it really didn't work out so hot. He was forever pushing them back ... the only good thing about them was that Claude could taunt him about them. *sniggers*
I know. The Dcotor and the Master are soooo epic and lovely. I love them so!
*nodnod* I seem to have three OTPs: Doctor/Master, Remus/Sirius, and Mylar. Sometimes L/Light, but it depends. And after reading the first book in the Dresden Files, I'm totally slashing Harry/Morgan and I don't care HOW cracky it is because they had MOUTH TO MOUTH by the end of the book!
Ah, dub-con. For me, no one does it better than the Doctor and the Master, but it can fit some Mylar stuff. It just depends on the writer. Sometimes it's believable, sometimes not so much.
The Doctor and the Master were MADE for dub-con ... and mindsex. Lots and lots of mindsex.
Mylar ... well, it depends, ya know? Because Mohinder digs Sylar but won't admit it to himself and Sylar digs Mohinder and is all
"We've got trust issues, DOCTOR ... we should go to couples counseling! ... or, have mad hot sex over there, how 'bout it?"
and Mohinder's all
"No! You MURDERED my FATHER!"
and Sylar's all "You HATED your father!"
and Mohinder's all "THIS EXCUSE IS GETTING OLD ... YOU KILLED MY DAUGHTER'S PARENTS!"
and Sylar's all "... oh, yeah, I kinda did ... sorry? I won't kill her OR the cop?"
and Mohinder's all "*shuffles feet* Weeeeeeeeeeeeell ..."
I prefer those sorts of stories rather than the ones in which Sylar jumps Mohinder and Mohinder screams and begs and cries and later feels dirty because he really liked it and Sylar feels conflicted.
but that finale was slash-tastic! It ended with Lex holding Clark in his arms as the ice fortress collapsed on them. And Lex said he loved Clark like a brother, and, well, the only TV brothers I know are sehr slashy.
... there are no words for that ... really ...
Hee hee, bet Batman teases Clark later on and Clark retorts "Hey, how's YOUR boyfriend, Brucey? The freak with the makeup and the knives?" which will swiftly shut Batman off. The Batman will glide off angstily to find the Joker and slam him into walls.

Date: 2008-08-13 05:33 am (UTC)Yeah, I doubt they'd kill off Mohinder, but I worry too much. It's a bad habit.
They'd BETTER leave the Mylar alone! (Or, better yet, hype it up and give Mohinder and Sylar more scenes and phone-conversations together!)

Oh, most definately. Then Claude will carry Peter like a bride over the threshhold of the TARDIS ...

Date: 2008-08-13 02:10 pm (UTC)I believe it's because Mylar turned so... fluffy. The characters were butchered in so many stories. And, while I know everyone is guilty of that, it just seems to be a little too obvious with that pairing.
Then Claude will carry Peter like a bride over the threshhold of the TARDIS ...
And they will go find Donna and heal her. Because it's possible, unlike what RTD says.

Date: 2008-08-15 12:26 am (UTC)Ah yes, I get that ... Mylar, if either of them live long enough, would need a very VERY long time to work it all out, and even if they did it wouldn't be insta-fluff, there would be angsty undertones.
I stopped reading Mylar so much because there's just so MUCH of it. I couldn't keep up.
And they will go find Donna and heal her. Because it's possible, unlike what RTD says.
I second that! A guy who absorbed the Doctor's brain in one of Eight's audio adventures was all fine and dandy a few hours later, Donna will NOT die from remembering! She is too awesome for that.
