DW/TW Slash Awards (Two Nominations) + Avenue Q

Ok, I've got a confession to make.
I nominated myself TWICE for the DW/TW slash awards.
I know, I know, I'm an awful person, and I don't deserve the title of 'Best Fluff Fic' and I REALLY don't deserve 'Best Crossover Fic' ...
So you should all go here http://community.livejournal.com/dwtwslashawards/ and vote. Don't automatically vote for me just because you think I'm funny or nice or got heatstroke yesterday, though. Read ALL the other fics in the category you vote for, and if you REALLY think mine is the best, please do vote for me.

Oh, wait!

I FINALLY sat down and listened to the entire album of Avenue Q. Previously I'd only heard three songs, If You Were Gay (duh), The Internet is for Porn (hey, it was against my will!), and Everyone's A Little Bit Racist (I thought it was funny.)
Now all the songs will be stuck in my head for the rest of my life. Yahoo!

*wibbles* I know, I'm a bad, bad aunt_zelda ... then again, I DID nominate 'Beach' (which got some of the best feedback I've ever recieved after spending more than a year on LJ) and 'Closure' which I am ridiculously proud of because it involves Plaude, Doctor/Peter, and Doctor/Master, AND was called 'damn hot' to boot. AND I nominated a bunch of other people and spent a REALLY long time deciding and nominating and such.
I still feel guilty, though. Guess that makes me a good person ...

Avenue Q is an amazing show. I saw it live on Broadway, and it was fantastically well done. The cast was tiny and most of them played multiple roles, and the puppets were so cool. Totally great. ♥

Oh I am SO jealous of you ... I keep missing shots at seeing something on Broadway ... *sigh* someday I shall be able to have FANTASTIC seats WHENEVER I please ... just as soon as I get some books published.
I love it when shows have people playing multiple roles. In my theater, we do it a lot, so I can appreciate learning all the lines and songs and costume changes and set-moving and such. That's probably why I love 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged' so damn much.

I know, I know, and I only did it for the two fics I am INSANELY proud of ... but still I feel kinda guilty.

(Oh, I can't remember if I told you or not, but I DID watch Reaper. All of it. Thank you for recomending it ... it wasn't as fantastic as Heroes or Doctor Who, but it was fun and cute and OMG the BLATANT SLASH *SQUEE* ... if Sam is related to the Devil I will SCREAM. No no NO! Badwrongeeeeeeeewww!)

I felt that way about the Plaude piece I entered so I know exactly what you're talking about.

As for Reaper: I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) I don't believe Sam is related to the Devil as it seems too obvious but-- I'll still ship it even with those implications. It's too perfect to ignore.

If you're looking for Reaper fic, varcinie, rainne, tessykins and myself have all dabbled in it. Plus there are some solid pieces to be found on the communities.

Oh, the nap made me feel much better, then I watched a thunderstorm that was EPIC and WONDERFUL, so 's all good.

I'm gonna see it on Tuesday with aimisan ... hopefully. *GRINZ* The New Yorker liked bits of it, they PRAISED Heath Ledger, so I am VERY excited indeed, because usually they tear up blockbusters.
