Kung-Fu Panda (+ some other stuff)
Jun. 18th, 2008 06:23 pm... was surprisingly good. Very cute and funny. I kept bursting out into laughter, especially towards the end (which is GREAT.)
Also, you guys excited for 'Wall E?' Because I am PSYCHED! *bounces about*
Yeah, thing is, before the movie the group I was with stopped at a Chinese restaurant, and as it's my-time-of-the-month, I had HORRENDOUS cramps. I was convinced I was going to throw up at one point, it got so bad. *winces at the memory*
School is FINALLY finished! No more wrap-ups, no more parties, no more events, just me, my computer, and eons to sleep. Possible flexible work ahead, too!
I am trying desperately not to dwell on the upcoming Doctor Who three-parter season finale, but it's REALLY grating ... particularly since I read a spoiler and ... yeah ... *squirms uncomfortably*
If I must think about Doctor Who, I'll try and concentrate on the fact that when aimisan returns from her trip, she and I are going to have a Doctor Who S3 marathon at my place. YAAAAAY! We'll squee about the Doctor/Master moments and she (being aimisan) will pester me with questions. Hopefully the kitties in 'Gridlock' will distract her somewhat ...
Speaking of that, does anyone know a good place to download/access Spanish subtitiles for Doctor Who episodes? My DVDs don't have that option, and I'd like to keep in practice over the summer.

..this is hard.

Date: 2008-06-19 01:23 am (UTC)It's hard for me too ... think about ... uhhhhh ...
Oooo, I know! Write a Doctor Who crossover fic! That ought to take up some of your time! Also, try eating, sleeping, and taking a few walks! Or learning Mandarin Chinese!

Date: 2008-06-19 02:05 am (UTC)I'll get to work on that Mandarin though. Wo yao kan yi sheng.

Date: 2008-06-19 02:49 pm (UTC)I need to learn Mandarin. Perhaps Firefly can help me? (Though I guess it only teaches you foul language, not basic vocab or verb-conjugations or what have you, eh?)

Date: 2008-06-20 04:01 pm (UTC)Then again, I don't know how to make tea, so I doubt the Doctor would let me come aboard ... 'specially since all I would do is pester him about finding the Master and getting it on ...

Date: 2008-06-20 05:48 pm (UTC)Aunt_Zelda: So.. when are we going to go track down the Master so you two can have kinky playtime together?
Doctor (coughing on badly made tea): What.. WHAT.. WHAT?! (turns beat red, then shakes his head and heads for the ship's controls) That's it. You're off my ship.
Aunt_Zelda: But.. but.. the two of you were going to have babies together!!

Date: 2008-06-20 10:22 pm (UTC)If Donna's not gonna drag him to the Master's feet, I'll have to do it!
(If the Face of Boe can have a baby, then two Time Lords can too! They can raise Jenny for practice!)
no subject
Date: 2008-06-21 07:47 pm (UTC)I would love to watch the two of them tackle raising her. Of course since the Doctor is all 'no guns' and the Master is all 'let's take over the world', neither of the parents will be able to agree on any rules for her.. which would be an even harder challenge. lol.

Date: 2008-06-23 03:35 am (UTC)That would be so wonderful for the audience ... the Doctor would try to be the perfect dad, setting rules and glaring at the boys (or girls ... or aliens, really, ya never know) Jenny brings over for dinner, and the Master would be all "Let's go cross our own timelines this weekend!" Hee hee ... the Doctor is totally the responsible parent and the Master is the crazy, irresponsible uncle who Jenny will think is more 'fun' ...

Date: 2008-06-23 06:53 pm (UTC)I would tackle this idea, but I can't write in a british accent. Bah.. why must the mother tongue be so strange and peculiar?

Date: 2008-06-23 07:09 pm (UTC)Have a go at it! I'll beta, in case you don't sound 'British!' (I can write with a British accent? How the hell do I do that?! *examines my fics in shock*)

Date: 2008-06-20 02:32 pm (UTC)I heard from one of my other online friends Serria (who writes THE best L/Light fic out there O.M.G does she ever) that Kung-Fu Panda was good. =D
Gah! Don't remind me about your marathon! lol Luckily though Doctor Who is on tonight (YAY!...see how quickly I get sucked into the awesomeness because of you? lol XD) and I'm going to record it! *loves the magic of VHS and a VCR XD*

Date: 2008-06-20 04:07 pm (UTC)Ooh, sorry about your cramps, luckily mine never usually get THAT bad, I know how you feel--that time of the month SUCKS, and I bet that guys wouldn't be able to handle it; we're much more sturdy and awesome. XD
Yeah, guys could totally not handle it ... it's so UNFAIR that they can just go all over the place and never get preggers or cramps or anything, and we do ... then again all they do is worry about it their you-know-what, so I dunno who's got it worse off ... *shrugs*
Mine aren't always that bad, just from time to time. Yick ... *rummanges around for chocolate*
Kung-Fu Panda was very good. (Even the New Yorker liked it!)
Hee hee, yahoo for my power-of-conversion! (Which one is on tonight?)

Date: 2008-06-20 04:38 pm (UTC)actually I can't remember what it's called. But their somewhere and all the lights and stuff are going out and they don't want them to go out because something is out there and stuff

Date: 2008-06-20 10:01 pm (UTC)Werewolves need hugs ... man, it must suck for female werewolves, eh? TWO monthly curses = double the pain and angst!

Ah, 'Silence in the Library' ... *GRINZ* it's a two-parter, and FANTASTIC. Some people hate it, but most people consider it to be the best episode (s) of S4. Have fun! (It's really scary, though, so I'd buy a nightlight for tonight ...)

Date: 2008-06-21 12:40 am (UTC)*huggles them* What IS IT with werewolves always getting shafted? Seriously, it makes me so MAD. And in the vampires vs. werewolves thing, vampires are so sexy they can get dates on a street corner, whereas werewolves are more likely to distance themselves from the ones they love to keep their loved ones safe, which makes them angsty and broody and depressed, so THEY NEED HUGS GODDAMNIT! *stamps feet*
Sorry, PJ, I just get really rilled up about werewolves and their lack of hugs ...
The DW ep looked AWESOME to me and I'm going to record it and watch it in teh dark. XD
Be careful! (Part 2 is, if possible, even scarier.)

(like how could anyone NOT blove Remus Lupin? Sirius does XD)
Yes, yes he does. And not 'like a brother' either, if ya get me drift ... heh heh ... I slashed them in my head before I knew what slash WAS ...

Date: 2008-06-21 05:41 pm (UTC)Yeah, I'd like to know what you think of them.
I so slashed them in my head too before I even READ slash! I knew what slash and yaoi WAS but I didn't read/write yaoi and slash until after GoF when I came to blove Sev. XD

Date: 2008-06-23 06:48 pm (UTC)I HOPE Grindlewald returned his feelings, because even though that'd imply he was a conniving bastard who used Dumbledore's feelings against him, it'd mean Dumbledore got at least SOME happiness sometime during his life, before he had to defeat his one-time boyfriend and send him off to prison to get all fugly. *wibbles*

I believe Grindewald returned them. *hug*
I shall too, because if he didn't why didn't Dumbledore move on?
