My Nostalgia Critic cosplay is being assembled! Ordered the hat from ebay, bid on the tie on ebay (I'll know by morning if I've gotten it) got a decent approximation of the coat at Goodwill yesterday (just need to remove some tacky buttons and hope it's not too dreadfully huge on me.) All I need now is the white t-shirt.

Which brings me to a bit of a dilemma. Am I crossdressing this or genderswapping this?

There's a part of me that really wants to try crossdressing. I want to draw a goatee on my face and tie my hair up and wear a sports bra (I don't really have that much to batten down, if you know what I mean.) Heck, I have a friend who has loads of wigs, I could probably stuff my hair under a brown wig if I wanted to be really authentic, instead of looking like ThatSciFiGuy stole the Critic's clothes. (Which is who I'd look like if I tried to dress in drag without doing something about my hair.)

I just don't know. If I'm going as genderswapped I think I'll get a v-neck t-shirt, because I'm more comfortable in those, but if I'm going in drag I'd get a shirt that looks like his usual shirt ... thoughts?

I'd say go for regular Critic. Though I have nothing against genderswapped!Critic either. ^_~

Whichever you decide I think will turn out good.
