Twitter Makes Things Better or Worse?
Jan. 22nd, 2012 09:25 pmSo, JO's Twitter!
But I assure you the rumors that were submitted were just rumors.
No they weren't. We all saw that formspring post (before you deleted it, I mean.) Don't lie, JO, it'll just make things worse. You said you thought being gay was a "lifestyle choice" that had made some of your friends "unhappy" in life. You said it around this time last year. I remember, because that was the last time I watched any of your videos.
I was raised by anti-gay parents with certain views, but share none of those sentiments myself today. So there you go.
Oh! That's good! That's actually very, very good. I'm happy to hear that! (I'm not even sarcastic right now, this genuinely makes me happy. Does this mean I can watch her videos again!?)
I wasn't offended so much as scared, honestly. I was afraid that was gonna spread and hurt my rep, that it would mutate into--
-other rumors etc, so just keep in mind when updating the blog that we're just normal people and stuff like that can affect us-
-very profoundly, for better or worse. But I'm not upset, no worries. Was just a little scared over it. ^^;
Can't imagine what'd hurt your rep more than calling being gay a "lifestyle choice" and denying it a year later and then deleting the post where you said that. *scratches head*
Yes, stuff like this CAN affect reviewers profoundly. For example, I haven't watched any of JO's reviews in a year and feel guilty each time there's a crossover with her in it. And I'm not the only one.
I think we all learned something here today, but the main thing is: don't call being gay a "lifestyle choice" when you are an adult with the internet at your fingertips and have a large and varied audience watching you, and later in life once you've changed your opinion, don't deny what you said earlier. It makes you look bad!
Also, don't upset Rants. He's a nice guy and deserves hugs and cookies, not internet wars.

...And as Catholic myself, with a family that respects the Homosexual community very much, I can't help but feel ashamed every time someone who shares my religion views goes with something so inappropriate as to disrespect others for their sexual inclinations, that was not Jesus message people, duh!
Now, let's live and let live.
