Suburban Knights DVD, packing, and pain

aunt_zeldaI just preordered Suburban Knights. I preordered the special one, that's gonna be signed and have different cover art and stuff. Maybe next year I'll buy the regular copy when the price has gone down, because I like the cover art for that one too. (I wish they'd start selling posters.)
Speaking of posters, I'm going to get mine laminated tomorrow. That way I won't have to worry about damaging my posters so much.
I worked so hard today, packing. Most of my clothes are packed, in big purple plastic tubs. How the hell did I get so many clothes? I don't really care about what I wear, I hate to shop ... how did this happen? And why is so much of my wardrobe BLACK? I get why 45% of it is in lurid shades or orange, because that's my favorite color, but why all the black? I've said it before and I'll say it again: I don't have the commitment to be fashionably Goth! I don't have the commitment to be fashionable period! It's just that most geeky logos are printed on black shirts! *wishes that she had the commitment to be fashionably Goth*
I now own a toolbox. It is filled with outlet strips and ethernet cables. There's also a hand-crank flashlight, in case the apocalypse happens. I'm going to sneak a wooden stake in there when my mother isn't looking. (Don't worry, it's not sharpened ... the one that's sharpened is staying at home under my bed next to the broom handle.)
Speaking of my mother, she spent a good chunk of the day making lables for my luggage and calming me down from several little surprise stress attacks. Today was the first time I felt real anxiety about any of this college stuff since last June.
I also bought all the books I'll need for the fall semester. OW. MY WALLET. IT HURTS.
Tomorrow we go out on (hopefully) our last day of shopping for some last minute things, like a lamp and dry-erase markers.

AHAHAHA, Oh man am I glad I don't have to buy text books anymore! I kid, I'm really very sympathetic about it. Why do they have to be so EXPENSIVE? I don't get it.
