aunt_zelda Work day was LONG. I am EXHAUSTED, but in a good way. It wasn't too dreadfully busy or horribly cold today, and I was able to make it through the day without collapsing. I even got a little surge of happy energy towards the end of the day and kept humming the Perry the Platypus song for a while. And I saw a cute girl with a black fedora hat and kohl around her eyes. I'm pretty sure I was obvious when I was checking her out, though, so once she got to the end of the line I was too embarrassed to say anything to her.
So, once I got home and collapsed on the couch I played some Echo Bazaar (yay, it's back!), checked the Kink Meme, and settled in for Linkara's review.
"And yes, Virginia, there is a 'Santa Claus Conquers the Martians' comic."
*cackles and squees*
"Who would make a robot out of cardboard boxes?"
*snerk*
"We need a Santa Claus on Mars!"
That is the silliest line I've ever heard in my entire life, and I've watched Old Who!
Wait wait, what? People don't dress as Santa and ring bells for charity anymore? What madness is this?!??!?!?!!
"We are from Mars. Do not be afraid."
*sporfles*
"Voldar is the Patton of the Martians."
*giggles* Patton!Linkara … *swoons*
"Naturally magical elves are no match for the Martians' weapons."
Um, I'd argue that.
"Martian-mellow! It's a play on words!"
It's a pune, or play on words!
Mmmmmm, Linkara laughing hysterically … makes me think he's gonna turn into Linksano or something!
"If you can't laugh at a cheap looking polar bear or a robot with a coffee can for a head, then you have no soul."
I love how Linkara shows here that he can appreciate the cheesy things in life.
