Seriously guys why doesn’t anyone seem to have talked about how Davos the Smuggler and Stannis the Scowly first met when Stannis was 17 and Davos was some unspecified age (already married with 2 sons in the family)?
Why is there not an epic “captured by pirates” AU? Where Stannis gets captured by Davos and the most awkward “we’re waiting this war out so I can ransom you to the winner” wait happens and Stannis is all imperious and then he realizes how dangerous his situation is and Davos is a good guy but he’s also listening to his crew who are bringing up some very valid points, like how dropping Stannis overboard would save them all a lot of trouble and possibly save all their lives because regardless of who wins the war they’re probably not gonna pay Davos and his crew for holding Stannis hostage the whole time. And of course, so much sexual tension. Maybe they break the siege together, IDK, Stannis still cuts off Davos’ fingers, but he totally lost his virginity on that boat.
Why have I only thought of this now, during finals, when I have a bad cold and the clock is ticking on all my assignments and I can’t summon the energy to do anything but stay in bed and snuffle and listen to audiobooks?
