Wow. That movie was EPIC.

Watched it in the common room with a crowd of college students in blankets, passing around popcorn and pretzels and laughing hysterically at various bits and snarking all the way through and applauding the famous memes. There were people who'd seen it multiple times and people who hadn't seen it before. I'd only seen Obscurus Lupa and the Nostalgia Critic's reviews of it. A girl passed out plastic spoons to be thrown at the screen whenever we saw spoons in pictures in the movie. Many of us lamented the lack of lesbian sex scenes between Lisa and her friend. We all groaned at the Lisa/Johnny sex scenes. Ew. Ew. Ew. I never want to have sex now.
I invented a backstory for Lisa during the course of watching: Johnny rescued her from an abusive pimp and a life of street prostitution, hence Johnny is providing her with a car and dresses and housing and stuff and she's unable to "support herself" as her mother stated. At one point I said "Remember that pimp I rescued you from? I am going to backhand you, ha," in my best Tommy Wiseau voice. Everybody laughed and someone said I did a good Tommy Wiseau voice.
When Random Guy at the Party showed up people quickly yelped "Who are you?" and "Where did you come from?" and "Why haven't we seen you before?" and I reduced one guy to hysterical laughter when I added "And why is your shirt kind of pink?"
We rewound things a couple of times, notably the flower shop scene. Good god, that bit was the best thing I've seen in cinematic history.
