Writer's Block: The long and short of it

The longest book I've read was The Annotated Chronicles. It was well over a thousand pages, but the book itself ended somewhere around page 1,032 if I remember correctly. (I didn't count the indexes.) I read that the summer I turned twelve.
Shortest book? Probably picture books. Recently, the only "little kid" book I've read would be Hippos Go Berserk, because Hippos Go Berserk is the best book ever.
