Writer's Block: Memo to Myself

Don't kiss that bastard in 2nd grade. He will cause you no end of grief in the very, very long run, even though you won't see him after you leave that school system. Years later, you will want to know that somewhere, somehow, he is in pain, and that is not a healthy thing.
Also, be more aware of your surroundings at home. Empty the dishwasher more often, be more attentive when your mother is getting dinner ready, etc. This will prevent the few fights you will have with your mother and stepfather as a teenager.
Oh, and, you like girls. You don't know that yet, but you will. You're bisexual! Congradulations! It's awesome, but it'll really surprise you when it happens, so be ready for that.
Also ... I know this is hard to hear, but ... someday you will be betrayed by your best friend. It will be confusing and hurt very much. Take the therapy, it helps. You're strong, so you'll make it through that.
And ... you might want to think about keeping in touch with your Nana. You may think she's invincible, but reality will be a horrible punch in the gut.
And be very, very, VERY careful about what you say on deviantArt. The people over there are crazy, speak English as a third language, and ship Doctor/Rose. They will be offended by you, espeically if you did not intend offence. WATCH YOUR COMMENTS.
All of that aside, you are strong, will grow into a confident woman who can hold her own against metalheads and homophobes, look sexy when you want to, and act damn good Shakespeare.
P.S. Obama wins the election. But Prop 8 passes. Find out about the latter sooner, so you can combat that!

Date: 2011-01-23 08:31 pm (UTC)Thanks! I take these sorts of things seriously. This journal isn't all squee and TGWTG and fetish fuel ... just mostly.

Oh, that's ok. There was this kid, see, and we were both in second grade and we went to the same daycare afterschool, and he convinced me that he loved me and that when people loved each other they kissed with tongues (which we did, upstairs in the bathroom.) Shortly after that he started making fun of me (see, I have this difficult-to-pronounce last name and I was really easy to upset back then, I cried at the drop of a hat) and his little sister was making fun of me too and it was just awful and my mom had to explain to me that some guys are in it for the chase and drop you when they're done and that's not a nice thing for a seven-year old to experience, now is it? I don't consider that my first kiss. He's not worth that honor, the BASTARD. I hope he grew up to be a complete FAILURE in school.
My REAL first kiss was my boyperson. He is lovely and geeky and awesome and he does a killer Insano impersonation. THAT is my first kiss, not that little bastard.
