Title: I Do
Rating: PG-13-ish (nothing hardcore, no swearing, hints of dub-con.)
Word Count: 477 (approximately)

Pairing: Mylar (Mohinder/Sylar)
Summary: ... officially, now, this was an affair …

Disclaimer: I do not own Heroes, Tim Kring and NBC do. The characters Mohinder, Sylar, Molly, and Matt Parkman were not invented by me. This drabble was written for the enjoyment and amusement of myself and fellow Heroes fans, no profit involved, blah blah, please don't sue me, it was hard enough to scrounge up the cash to pre-order S2 ...

A/N: I know, I know, I haven’t written Mylar in MONTHS, and for that I am sorry. I was kidnapped by all things Whoverse, please forgive me. Now that Doctor Who S4 is over, however, I'm going to be getting back into the Heroes swing of things. (September can't come fast enough, in my mind!)

Prompt: Vows

Mohinder twirled the gold band on his finger as he contemplated his cell phone, holding off dialing the number for as long as he could.

He listened to the ringing on the other end, praying that, by some miracle, no one would pick up, and he could go home and cook Molly dinner.

No such luck.

“Doctor Suresh …”

Mohinder winced at the sound. “Marlene’s Motel, off the highway, room 42.”

The voice on the other end laughed. “Be there in fifteen-minutes …”

With a ‘click,’ the line went dead. Mohinder turned his phone off with an angry snap and tossed it, along with his ring, into the drawer of the bedside table.

After staring at the walls for a few seconds, he flumped back onto the bed and tried to drain away all of his anger. Going into this angry would only prolong the whole damn affair.

Affair …he thought with a sardonic smile. Yes, officially, now, this was an affair. Never mind that it was preventing his adopted daughter and his husband from having their heads ripped open.

Husband …now that was going to take some getting used to. Last year he hadn’t even known Matt’s name, and barely a week ago Mohinder had been signing a document that said he was married to the man.

Marriage …was it really that, though? It was only a precaution, a charade to further secure Mohinder’s place here in the States … and it wasn’t like Matt was going to be ‘faithful’ either …

Mohinder shook his head. If there’s anything I should be feeling guilty about it’s –

BANG.

Him.

Mohinder sat up, but Sylar shook his head. “Stay down.”

Mohinder lay back again, closing his eyes as Sylar shut the door, and the curtains. He flinched when Sylar slowly took off Mohinder’s shoes and socks, massaging the geneticist’s feet with his hands and telekinesis.

Just get on with it …Mohinder thought, gripping the sheets of the bed.

“Impatient today, are we?” Sylar asked, rolling onto the bed beside Mohinder and kissing him slowly.

Mohinder opened his eyes. “Don’t pretend this is anything but a trade.” he spat.

Sylar shrugged. “Fine …” he began unbuttoning Mohinder’s shirt. “Just remember …” he murmured, unzipping his pants and pulling something out of his pocket. “You don’t have to hide from me, Mohinder.”

Mohinder sighed. He was tired of thinking in his native language so Matt wouldn’t find out. He was exhausted from spending sleepless nights staring at the List, trying to make sense of it all. He was fed-up with stacking lies on top of lies to protect Molly, and now Matt. He was sick of feeling sick with himself and having to smile at everyone like everything was fine.

“I hate you …” Mohinder whispered.

Sylar cocked his head to the side. “Promise?”

Mohinder turned away.

I do …
