I ... I ...
I think I'm in love with Applejack.
Damn this show. I should be writing fanfiction, or cleaning my pit of a room, or SLEEPING, but NO, I gotta watch them have cutesy adventures and learn lessons and watch the slightly terrifying pink one sing SONGS.
I could justify my love of Phineas and Ferb. That makes SENSE.
This? This ... makes no sense ... at all ...
I mean, it's colorful, it's about a bibliophile shut-in learning to make friends (hey, I remember that period of my life ... oh wait, I never left it. FUCK, I'm Twilight Sparkle! But I'm not so good at the 'making friends' part. Still. Interacting socially and not hiding behind books all the time? I do that. Improvement?) in a Matriarchal Society ... maybe the fact that it's just weird enough that it works? I think my brain short-circuited somewhere around the bit with the flamboyant dragon and I've just been accepting it ever since. I can barely even snark, it's just so CUUUUUUUUUTE! I think I'm going to die of the cuteness overload!
For some reason I keep wanting to see it with humans. Not live-action, but with cartoon girls. I dunno, them not being ponies might remove some of the charm and make it just another Magical Girl show, but still ...
Fluttershy. I ... whenever she shows up I have the sudden urge glomp her forever and take her home with me.
The second episode being a total D&D quest is what got me, I think. It remains to be seen whether the show will hold me once the shock wears off.
