Yahoo? Yahoo!

Last night, whilst watching 'Once More With Feeling' with my father (since Torchwood ended we haven't seen each other as regularly) he got a phone call. Apparently two days ago he had a 'sort of date' and now he's planned another 'sort of date!' *does the Snoopy Dance*
I'm so insanely happy for him. I hope he and this guy really hit it off and hook up seriously ... my dad hasn't dated in ages, and he's always so happy when he had a partner.
When I was little I grew up going back and forth between my mom and dad's houses. Mom had boyfriends, and dad had boyfriends, and since they'd divorsed when I was like two I didn't find that strange at all. That was just how things went in life. This is why I have such trouble with writing femmeslash, because lesbians were a totally strange concept that came much, much later in my life.
I was such a confuzzled child ... I used to wonder why Disney movies didn't have a prince saving a prince, did you know that? Hee hee ...
Anyhoodle, more reports to follow! *exits, still doing the Snoopy Dance*

Mother's Day

Regardless of where you live or what your culture is, today you should call/hug/go out to dinner with/buy flowers for/sent a lovely e-mail to/make a card for your mother, grandmother, and/or mother-of-your-children.

Today at a dinner I had some peach ice cream that was DIVINE. *licks lips in the memory* I mean, seriously, DIVINE ICE CREAM. Though that could be because peaches are the answer to true happiness ...

Also checked out busboy. So did my mother. And grandmother. It was hilarious. I was beet red for a while there because he leaned over out of nowhere to give me more water and I turned SCARLET. Good lord ... he bore a striking resemblance to that-guy at my school, btw, for those of you keeping score at home of my interests. [Alert! Inside joke!:] (I'm looking at YOU, aimisan, don't think I'm not! 'Lesbian' indeed ... humph!) [Alert! Inside joke has ended!]

Also talked of truffles, the pigs who dig them up, how pigs are smarter than dogs, and how pigs should take the place of guard dogs. Loud-Conservative-Funny-Man would not let this go all dinner. Hee hee ... I had to keep covering my mouth because I have this really unattractive laugh that has been known to make metal-heads cry out in pain.

On the way out I saw a woman in a red dress approaching. When 'she' got up close, though, I began to doubt my first impression. Not the red-dress, the woman part. I'm not really sure, but 'she' certainly looked like a transvestite to me. And I'm not saying that to be mean or anything, like 'she' was ugly, because 'she' wasn't, but I grew up meeting transvestites on a regular basis, and was often confuzzled as to if the person I'd been talking to was a woman or a man, so I've been trying to get better at identification. But some of them are REALLY hard to figure out. Really, this person I saw confuzzled me to no end, and I had half a mind to go back and ask, but if 'she' turned out to be a woman who'd been a woman forever, I'd feel AWFUL ... I dunno, it was the legs and shoulders and face, but 'she' definitely had woman-parts on front ... *sigh* you'd think I'd be better at this by now, but no.

Anyways, happy Mother's Day to all! Especially the mothers among us!
